I agree about the need for ball handling but it’s really disappointing that Brogdon didn’t supply that this year. I thought we’d get a lot out of him as a complete player and by seasons end he had turned himself into an unathletic Ricky Davis
LOLSomeone like Kyrie Irving or Kemba Walker!
What happened to the Armenian stuff? Boo.Next game thread should not be started until Tuesday and should be titled “Don’t let us win tonight.”
It is on all of them. The players and the coach are all an embarrassmentAn abject embarrassment from the players. This isn’t on the coach.
“We had great spacing and looks. The biggest issue was that we refused to be flexible on whose car was going to be taken.”It will be about spacing and getting great looks. And maybe a line from The Town.
So you're saying we've still got a chance? This is the equivalent of the 19-8 ALCS Game 3 loss, right?
Technically, those shirts aren’t wrongSurely they quietly bury those unfin18hed business tees before game 4 right?
And he’d be taking the fall for a gutless performance all seriesYeah, but they haven’t quit like this. This series is different. Of course you can’t lay it all at Joe’s feet but I cannot fathom him coming back after this.
Well, the business is still unfin18ed, so I don't know.Surely they quietly bury those unfin18hed business tees before game 4 right?
Hard to have an offensive rebound when all your shots are falling.Boston did a great job on the defensive glass tonight. Miami hasn’t had an offensive rebound yet.
I’m hoping he writes ‘I resign as HC of the BC’ on a napkin.I am anxiously awaiting what Joe says. I have a pretty good idea it will be milquetoast bullshit but I’m hoping it’s something substantial
Haha I didn’t think of this. They’re evergreen keep them for next seasonTechnically, those shirts aren’t wrong
Can use them next year!Technically, those shirts aren’t wrong
Oh hell yes, plus a different coach. I’m inMy “blow shit up” plan is Jaylen/Smart/pick(s) out and Mitchell/3&D wing like OG in.
And that’s fine with me. The last couple months of the regular season and these playoffs have shown they need an experienced head coach. No ifs ands or buts. And he’d be taking the fall for a gutless performance all series
Same. This team fucking loved and respected him, and he really had an opportunity to herald in a special era of Celtics basketball.Ime couldn’t keep it in his pants and fucked this team over. I hope Ime never wins another game as a coach.
Nope. That Sox team was loaded with guys with heart. This team is loaded with gutless wonders. So you're saying we've still got a chance?
If people created the undrafted drinking game, anyone playing would die from alcohol poisoning.Stop saying undrafted challenge
It's called Jaylen BrownNot an original thought but there's something broken with the chemistry of this team. Every series goes longer then it should and now down 0-3 it's getting worse.
And no one is trying. So, look, why is Pritchard doing better tonight than game 1?
He has the ball in his hands, and is not on the floor with 2 other guards. He can do all right but not as part of a 3 guard lineup. Just to point out why he as a total zero a couple games back.
It’s a 30 point game and the Heat don’t care. Pritchard wouldn’t do this if anyone was still actually tryingSo, look, why is Pritchard doing better tonight than game 1?

It's Garbage Time. So, look, why is Pritchard doing better tonight than game 1?
19-8Remember Game 3 in the greatest comeback from 0-3 in MLB history? Boston lost 19-11.
we didn’t know they had heart until they came back from 0-3 down. But they did play well last couple months so it was a shock they were down 0-3. Celtics didn’t so hot in the last couple months of seasonNope. That Sox team was loaded with guys with heart. This team is loaded with gutless wonders.
Yeah, I don’t agree. I like the guys on this team, they are obviously missing some thing in this series and season. But they’re not guys without Hart or guts. They’re just playing really badly.Nope. That Sox team was loaded with guys with heart. This team is loaded with gutless wonders.
Trading Smart doesn’t fix their execution issues. At this point they should look at trading anyone but just Smart wouldn’t be enough imoI think the obvious move is to trade Smart. The Jays look to him to be the leader and that can’t happen any longer. This needs to be unquestionably Tatum’s team and that won’t happen until he is gone.
I am anxiously awaiting what Joe says. I have a pretty good idea it will be milquetoast bullshit but I’m hoping it’s something substantial
What's the term? (I'm out of the Simmons loop.)Bill Simmons is happy about this. He coined another silly term that plays.
Because blaming the coach, who people have no connection to, and who is easily replaced with money doesn't make people confront the question of whether the core needs to be broken up, a core they have a strong connection to and have been wishing on for 6+ yearsWhat's everyone's obsession with blaming the players OR the coach? Here and on twitter.
It's pretty clear they both shit the bed in this series.
Honestly Joe has a much better excuse than the players. He has a terrible JV assistant coaching staff and it's his first season.
Tatum, Brown, Horford, Smart, etc all have A TON of experience. The way they have played is legitimately crazy bad, to the point you have to wonder if there is some unknown thing going on beneath the surface.
No coach, no matter how bad, can submarine an experienced team this much on his own. It's impossible.
