Nice. I was just posting in the Roster 2015 thread about what Knighton could add and how his market might not be that big. Its hard to see Seattle as a serious player given that they are only 10M under and still haven't extended Wilson yet (although they could cut Mebane and use some of that cap space on Knighton). Baltimore also looks like a weird fit given that they have Brandon Williams at NT, also just drafted Timmy Jernigan, and only have about 9M in space and really need to address the WR position. The Redskins have plenty of cap space and a need so I could see them offering him a big deal. But maybe he doesn't want to play out the rest of his good years with a joke franchise, having experienced life with the Broncos.

They're a young team that isn't going to break the bank for an overpay on a top FA. They have a lot of young players that they'll be looking to lock up for the forseeable future. Harrison Smith this year. Rhodes, Floyd, (maybe) Patterson the year after that. They are hoping Teddy can become their QB of the future. They aren't one or two players away from being a championship team, they are one or two years away from being close to that. No reason to start mortgaging the future for Teddy's early years.
Like last year, they'll probably wait for the value guys to start dropping. Very similar to the Pats strategy. IMO they're being smart.

What is up with that this year? Don't ever recall guys backing out in years past like Gore did. But in Mathews' case it actually makes some sense if Philly signs Murray. That said I don't think Mathews will get 3 / $10.5 elsewhere.Corsi said:
