Always a highly inconsistent player, his ups-and-downs were even more pronounced in 2014. Unfortunately, it was more downs than up in 2014. He can still cover better than Chung however (but that's not a high bar to clear).

Brown was hurt at the end of last year, but overall he's been a bottom of the league #1 CB/decent #2. One telling stat is his receptions allowed per coverage snap:
 

 
He also was about the league average in number of targets/snaps. At this stage in the off-season, not sure if there's a better option w/o trading for Jonathan Joseph (UFA in 2016).
