However, the real Rap Sheet is reporting Shaun Hill to the Vikings.

Though WR Percy Harvin is in talks with a number of teams, his first visit will be to the #Bills, per a source.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Willis/Worilds retirements were in any way influenced by CTE concerns/Seau. They might not feel like they can express it publicly...and I'm definitely not questioning the authenticity of their desire to engage in other pursuits...but I do wonder if the sudden nature of it was influenced by these concerns. In a world where they have no fear of traumatic brain injury maybe they decide their other pursuits can wait a few more years while they continue to make millions.

Or maybe not. Something to keep an eye on if it becomes a trend.

I was wondering about the same thing too with Willis and Worilds and Jake Locker.

Assuming we make up for the losses in the secondary with better line play, are Hardy, Williams or Fairley viable options? Obviously, Hardy and Fairley have character concerns and Fairley doesn't seem to have lived up to his promise even on that amazing Detroit line.

Not counting as a FA pickup, obviously, but a return to health and a big leap forward by Easley would go a long way towards improved D-line play.  He'd *almost* be like adding a good FA signing on the cheap.

Good list of FA available here:  http://www.nfl.com/freeagency

Not many CB on the list, sadly.  Might have to take a chance on somebody.  Maybe re-sign Browner and take a risk on Culliver?  Meanwhile, add one or two more playmakers on offense, and a DL and LB (they'll have a lot of money to spend!), and then re-do the lines in the draft?

They could go all questionable character but big talent direction and sign:
DE Hardy
WR/RB Harvin
CB Culliver
CB Browner

Three VERY talented players (added Browner too) but all bring character question marks (or worse).  They'd still have some money to pick up other pieces as well, maybe Sheard. Not saying they should go this direction, but they could.

@AdamSchefter: Eagles reached agreement with former Giants and Seahawks CB Walter Thurmond, per source. Thurmond now teams up again with Byron Maxwell.

How is Spiller in pass-pro?  Seems like BUF trusted FJax more in that role which probably gives NE pause on pursuing him.  A healthy Spiller (If such a thing still exists) is as electrifying a runner as there is in the NFL.  Of course he is also fumble prone and made of glass.  Ultimate boom (1244 yds, 6 YPC in 2013) or bust player.  At the right price I'd love to see NE take a chance on him.

Spiller reminds me of a quicker Maroney. His vision is awful and he dances around laterally waiting for a hole rather than seeing them develop ahead of time.

Is 10+ per year the New "Halfway decent" player cost? (Like Maclin?  Though admittedly he took a leap last year....)

With 15+ for "stars"?

Balanced team building (as there will be alot of good players available to make room for all the 11 million/yr Maclins) might be an even more successful way to build a roster.
