Going by minor league numbers and his debut this year (after the initial false start and getting sent back down) he looks legit to me. Could be 15HR, 30+ steals level player. If he can push the OBP towards his minor league numbers then he is a stud.

Sure, he was better in Aug/Sept than earlier in the year, but do you start him ahead of the best pitcher in baseball? You can have Haren ready in relief and Kershaw on a short leash, but Kershaw has never shown anything to suggest he can't go on 3 days rest. Plus there is the added benefit that if you end up in a game 5, you get to go with Greinke. Seems like a pretty easy call to me.

The real Brian Wilson might be a better pitching choice at this point in time. The Dodgers' pen was an excellent closer, Jansen, a good setup junkballer in Howell a decent guy in League who you don't trust in high leverage and a cast of thousands. Elbert was a loogy who pitched 4 innings this year.

Kind of like Brad Ausmus had a post-it taped to his clamshell phone in game 2 that Chamberlain was his 8th inning guy.

Really makes you appreciate Playoff Tito and how he used Foulke and Okajima in '04 and '07.

It's probably pretty universal around here... aside from the Rays and Yankees, the Dodgers (mostly Crawford) are my least favorite team, and Baltimore is fourth (2011 celebration, Buck, Cruz). I don't want to see the Cardinals win the World Series, but it'd be much worse to see the Orioles or Dodgers win it, in my eyes at least.

Maybe I should schedule an appointment with some kind of head doctor, but Harold didn't seem quite as obtuse last night. He made some stupid comments but he also made some that had some insight. He did play ball for some years and had to have picked up some things to add over a Joe Buck who may have played badminton. Or, maybe I'm resigned to the fact that we are stuck with him and what are you going to do?
