Philosophical question: if the "unwritten" rule is "don't be a dick about breaking the written rule," is it still unwritten?Dick Pole Upside said:

SoxinPA said:"Philosophical" may be a relative term when you spend your life teaching history to 13 year olds. Most of my "philosophical" conversations involve either Miley Cyrus or farts. I walked in on 2 kids staring off blankly into space, deep in thought, asked the girl behind them what the deal was, and was told that they were debating whether it would be worse to step in dog poop or be pooped on by a bird.
I need to get out more, and will leave te philosophy to the adults in the future.

Mike was not the cause, no. The terrible ratings were the cause.Red(s)HawksFan said:
Didn't they shitcan Regis's show right around Super Bowl time? Or was that just when they decided to do it but let him play out the string, so to speak? Either way, I'm not sure Francesa was the cause of the show getting dumped as much as he's the fortunate benefactor.
Caller: Is this Clippers thing like Mitsubishi building planes that bombed Pearl Harbor? Mike: What? No.
I missed Felger's "Hot Sports Take" on this issue because I was working. What was it?Phenom said:Sports talk callers aren't capable of discussing an issue like this.
I think that's why Felger & Mazz largely stay away from these kinds of topics when they can (I barely remember them talking about Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin last fall, or Michael Sam this winter).
It's a smart move. You have to pander to your audience, and 90 percent of them will probably only say something unfathomably offensive.

That was tremendous, then Francesa hangs up on him.LMontro said:
And Calipari calling in to defend his coaching ability is funny/weird
Calipari was in-studio. Francesa sent his personal driver to pick up coach-Cal. These guys have been friends for 30-something years.Winger 03 said:That was tremendous, then Francesa hangs up on him.

I realize that, but he called into the show after he left to defend himself. Despite being friends, he got the Francesa dismissal which was a little funny.bankshot1 said:Calipari was in-studio.
