Indy is doomed guys.  How are they going to compete with teams like Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Houston after this showing let alone the other top teams in the AFC?

...oh wait this isn't the Patriots post-game thread.  My bad.

I am not talking full careers, and I'm certainly not talking playoffs, but right now and probably last year too, even when allowing for other offensive talent discrepancies, Manning and Brady really should not be mentioned in the same sentence. RIGHT NOW, one is obviously better than the other.

I would probably agree with you but the differences in surrounding talent are massive right now.  There likely isn't anyone on the NE  Oline that starts for DEN and at the skill positions you probably only have Edelman starting over Caldwell.

Gronk and the RB core are better for NE though.
DEN has a lot of talent, but Manning is also pretty clearly a better QB right now than Brady.

Here
Brady would have thrown that in the first row.

Too bad we didn't get Sanders, he looks great.

Emmanuel Sanders would have looked good in a Pats jersey. Too bad we cheaped out with a restricted free agent offer.

Current Gronk is not in Julius Thomas class, Gronk 2011 would certainly get the edge but it remains to be seen if 2014 Gronk can get back there.

24 points in 13 minutes ... And no short fields. Right?

Gronk 2014 looks like a robot. When he has the ball he's a force but he didn't look fast and his hands didn't look good today. Probably hard to catch when you have Mega Man's arm cannon.

Then what you are implying is that Elway is boat racing BB in roster construction because Manning, unlike Russell Wilson for example, is not working for peanuts

I'd say he's fielding a better team on both offense and defense right now.

Probably a dumb idea to think of, but do you even entertain the thought of cutting Gronkowski at the end of the season with his $10 million roster bonus coming up and sign Julius Thomas?
Gronk is a much much better blocker than Julius Thomas. It's why when healthy Gronk is the best TE in football, he can actually play TE, unlike Thomas or Graham who are basically WR.

Disagree on Gronk.

Julius Thomas just broke that DBack's ankles like an NBA point guard. Very few TEs can do that shit.

I don't have DVR. Was David Bruton targeted directly after the kickoff by a Colts player? Looked like a dirty play.

Denver can franchise tag JT if they need to. He won't make it to free agency next year.

He hasn't been healthy in 2 years.

As noted above, he can't block. At all. I could be convinced he's a better receiver than Gronk (a bit more speed and agility, though not as strong) but as an all-around TE, no chance.

I'm aware of that.  But that being said, if the Gronk of old doesn't show up this year it's something to think about if Thomas prices himself out of Denver.  Fat chance that Denver lets him go though.

Notice how Reggie Wayne didn't put his hands up to catch that until the last second, so the defender didn't know the ball was coming.  Such a cool veteran move.

I want to know what happens when those two guys in NYC get hit with like 5 reviews at the same time from different games.  It could happen and then what?  Didn't look like they had all that many people in the room.

I think Collinsworth said there are 16 replay TV's and 2-3 guys for each.

So Seahawks Broncos in 2 weeks may be the biggest regular season game in years. You know the Seahawks are watching this and bristling over Collinsworth in particular jerking off Denver.

Dude, three days ago he spent 3 hours jerking off Seattle.

Oh sure. Sherman won't look it it that way though.
Sherman will spend the night jerking it while covering Andre Caldwell on the left while they throw to their top 3 pass catchers.
