Jesus that was dumb. Would have liked to see a draw on 2nd to run it down to the warning and ensure positive yards.

Not that I want them to call it, but when do the refs decide something is illegal contact?  They can call it on every play, how do they choose when to drop the yellow?

I'll certainly take the win, but that second half has me worried about Denver's run game. They will likely go up big several times this year and if they can't move the chains and wind the clock with runs late, other teams will climb back in.

Squeaked through, but that was disconcerting.

Glad they didn't call a dumb penalty there on minimal contact.
Since you're speaking about the last play, I agree.  The problem is there are plenty of times when they did call a dumb penalty on minimal contact, both in this game and the other games I watched today.

There's no consistency, and with the way the new rule is, consistency isn't even possible.

last year broncos would had lost indy seems 2rd best in AFC with NE 3rd the bad part for NE fans is Denver played lousy for 2 q and still won unless we have a off day for 4 q after seening today games NE is a better matchup for den than indy

The very least the producer can so is show some good Coughlin face to make me laugh. It's a sad day for the NFL

Not to jump to a conclusion after a few minutes of the 1st quarter of the 1st game of the season... but are the Giants going to bottom out this year?  That offense is a comical travesty, and the secondary is hot garbage.

I guess their saving grace is that they get to play 6 games against the NFC East... but still.  They are... ungood.

As a BC grad, Nate Freese's awful FG attempt saddened me.
Freese had been kicking well too after a very shaky start to camp , but that wasn't pretty.

Haven't been able to watch the second half.  Is Bush hurt, or is Bell just getting the touches right now?

Just haven't been effective running the ball

Gruden just audibly groaned -- "Ugh" -- when narrating a replay of the Giants secondary on that long pass to Tate.... where he was left wide open on a standard go route.

And as if on cue, Fauria drags 4 Giants defenders for 10 yards.

Horrible play calling.  I get they aren't running the ball all that well but the Lions have a 10 point lead inside the red zone with 6 to go in the 3rd.  They needed at least one run play. Instead, still a 2 score game and almost no time off the clock once they moved inside the 20.
