his initial thoughts on her were "not bad"HomeBrew1901 said:I absolutely cringed when they started talking about Caitlyn Jenner, reminded me of D&C.
Edit: Not to say that it was hate filled like D&C, more locker room "Would you do her", type cringeworthy comments.
What's your point?the1andonly3003 said:his initial thoughts on her were "not bad"
WTF, what more is there to talk about? Holy crap.yeahlunchbox said:I tuned in at 2 because Felger in the past has seemed open minded about soccer talk when there's been big issues to talk about, and frankly today would be a great day to talk about it. He promptly announced his intention to talk about Deflategate some more. Ok, back to Pandora.
John Marzano Olympic Hero said:When there's not a HUGE topic that's been flogged to death (like Deflategate) they're okay to listen to. They have their ticks (they hate, HATE Hanley Ramirez for some reason) but otherwise, it's a way to pass the time while in traffic on a Thursday afternoon.
At the end of the day F&M is sports radio and I think that a lot of us are tilting at windmills here. There is never going to be a SoSH radio program at 2:00 pm every day for four hours, nor is there going to be two guys yakking on the radio with whom you have the exact same opinion all the time (unless one of those dudes are you). Felger and Mazz are okay. Yes, there are times when they suck and yes, there are times when they inform and entertain, but for most of the time they're somewhere in between. And that's okay because I'm not sure if there's any of form of entertainment that is 100% in either camp.
+1 i mean the pats for 15 years have been as good as u can be they will be 500 soon enoughQuiddity said:
To be honest, I don't think they're that bad on 3 of the 4 sports. When the local team is in disarray and deserves criticism, they are very entertaining to listen to. Unfortunately they are excruciatingly bad as it pertains to the Patriots because of the extreme bias they have against the team. If the Patriots were the Red Sox, coming in last place in 2 out of the last 3 seasons? I wouldn't have much of a problem with the treatment the team gets, because they would deserve it (outside of Deflategate/Spygate). Pats just won the Super Bowl though and have been in the final 4 for four consecutive seasons and still get crapped on 4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
can you blame them?NDame616 said:both of them have been singing that tune for years. 2013 was a fluke and it was aLl luck
I tuned in only for the first 30 minutes, but one of his points was his histrionics and over-selling his fall into the camera bay. He made a comparison of baseball players getting hit by a 95 mph fastball, brushing it off and immediately taking his base.jcd0805 said:What could he possibly be ripping LeBron for? What could anyone be ripping him for? That the Cavs have won 2 games in the finals with the supporting cast he has is nothing short of amazing to me.

Absolutely. While the paper states its authors have no stake in the outcome of this controversy, it also neglects to report if there were any donors beforehand. Myself, I think it likely that Hassett et al. simply wanted to correct a wrong. But the cost of doing so - even if it was < 1% of the $5M the NFL spent - shouldn't be discounted out of hand.soxfan121 said:
There's been tons of Wells/independence talk, just not recently.
And the question is a good one: why is AEI spending its money/resources on this?

Hmmm. Foolish of me to think otherwise. And I deserve the rolling emoticon of douche baggery.JimBoSox9 said:

THIS RED SOX TEAM SUCKS, IT'S THE WORST TEAM EVER ASSEMBLED
its terrible

Is he wrong? I mean, the Boston Red Sox, as they sit on June 18, 2015 suck.
I think he's trying to fit in but at the same time, what do you expect them to say.NDame616 said:
Yes he is correct. No real thought proving stuff with that. It's no he goes about it.
Felger and Mazz go back and forth and then you hear chiming in THEY SUCK EVERYONE HERE SUCKS THIS SUCKS I HATE EVERYONE!
I listen to F&M as I sit in traffic and it seems like his role has evolved from "sometimes saying something remotely interesting from the peanut gallery" to yelling and screaming about the Red Sox.
Really, they finished last last year and you want to chirp in that they were in first for a week?RedSox040713 said:Stewart said the teams have come unprepared out of Spring Training for two straight years. They were in 1st place at the beginning of the year for a time. But you know why let the facts get in the way of a hot take
The sprint to the top of the standings to open the season involved beating up the Phillies (making it even harder to catch them for the #1 pick in 2016) and a Nationals team that seemingly left all gloves in Viera.RedSox040713 said:Stewart said the teams have come unprepared out of Spring Training for two straight years. Not in the sense that they're going to accomplish anything this year and I do want Farrell to be fired but just throwing it out there for how the program and now Stewart tend to build up straw menHomeBrew1901 said:Really, they finished last last year and you want to chirp in that they were in first for a week?
Straw men? Since 2012, they have a record of 265-288. That is with a 97 win season thrown in there. Jimmy Stewart is not throwing a straw man argument out. For 3 of the last 4 years, the Red Sox have flat out sucked. I don't want to hear about selling off at the deadline made the records look worse than they should have been. If they had a good enough team, they wouldn't have sold off all their parts.RedSox040713 said:Not in the sense that they're going to accomplish anything this year and I do want Farrell to be fired but just throwing it out there for how the program and now Stewart tend to build up straw men
It's almost like he's taking over for Beetle instead of Murray. In all seriousness if not for the 20 20 updates when does Murray speak?NDame616 said:I guess I am more bothered by Stewart because I thought he was funny when he would just chime in with a witty (sorta) one liner. It broke up the sometimes painful F&M. He brings nothing to the table other than yelling (literally. Yelling at the top of his lungs) about the Sox.
I just thought it was a new development in the show. He used to be used very rarely, and now he's like front and center.
Yeah no. I just turned it on and they've determined that the whole reason the NFL is adamant about the phone is that they have incriminating text messages to Brady and they want Brady's phone to be able to include them in the Wells ReportHomeBrew1901 said:Surprisingly they are being very reasonable today.
Yesterday with Keefe and Jones was absolutely brutal, they are horrible on the radio and I can't imagine anyone listens to them at night. You could tell that Felger was annoyed as shit, not because they were challenging him, but because they were just being dumb.
Not sure why they cant comprehend Brady not wanting to hand over a phone to a report and league that suspended him four games for possibly maybe telling someone to possibly violate a rule.PBDWake said:Yeah no.
