Don't understand why they pinch hit for lackey after just 74 pitches with 2 down and nobody on. Grimm has like 68 G, 52 IP, he's not gonna get you through more than 2 even if he's on (and he wasn't).

Its uncanny. Every year they are in the playoffs, they get some guy who come sout of nowhere and just slays everyone in his path. Unfuckingreal...

Didn't know Tidrow was in the Giants front office..................
The very same front office that Moneyball took a swipe at when Lewis portrayed Beane as picking Sabean off on a trade. Since Moneyball, the good face Giants front office has three world championships, playing in front of sold out crowds in one of the best ballparks in the MLB while the A's have simply been happy to make it into the playoffs while playing in a multi-use concrete piece of crap in front of small crowds.

A great front office, Righetti and Bochy adds up to 3 WS titles. And yes, it's a great ballpark, a jewel really; that shithole in Oakland, not so much.

If a Red Sox pitcher had started an inning against the top of the other team's order by throwing seven consecutive balls ... how many runs would the other team score?

While it was too harsh, that FO also went on to give Barry Zito a small fortune following a 3-year trend of crashing peripherals.

I wasn't sold on the Cubs' offense in the postseason. Not much danger once you get through Bryant/Rizzo/Zobrist.

Sad watching this as a TB fan. Reminds me of Moore's performance against Texas in the 2011 ALDS. Shame injuries and inconsistency prevented him from becoming who we thought he'd be. At one point, he was a top 3 trade value guy right alongside Harper and Trout.
