Hardy is obviously the Yankees pitcher who threw at his own son at a father-son game. The Tony Romo/Tom Berenger parallels are appropriate. Who is Greg Hardy in that scenario?
I think you'd have to at least sniff the SB to be called a poor man's Brady. No shot.. Maybe next lifetime...Hate the Boys but can't help but like Romo. I'm ready for him to retire any time now. And he can take Witten with him, too.
Is calling Romo a poor mans's Tom Brady fair?
Not to disparage the GOAT, but if Romo had been playing for New England instead of Dallas his career would likely be seen in a very different light. It boggles the mind how someone can play that well for perhaps the most well known franchise in the NFL, have zero off-field issues of note, and still be as poorly regarded as Tony Romo.I think you'd have to at least sniff the SB to be called a poor man's Brady. He had 10 seasons, plenty of weapons and stout defenses and did jack shit. Not to disparage the GOAT, but if Romo had been playing for New England instead of Dallas his career would likely be seen in a very different light. Not a lot of playoff success and some high profile INT's (plus the fumbled snap) have hurt his rep but it's definitely unwarranted. He hasn't been given much help in his career and he's way, way better than people realize. Without Romo, the Cowboys are one of the worst teams in the NFL. With him, they are a threat. Not to disparage the GOAT, but if Romo had been playing for New England instead of Dallas his career would likely be seen in a very different light. I adore Norm. Always have. Always will.A radio host asks if Jerry Jones has any soul left in his heart:

Except that he hasn't had any of that until recently (the weapons, anyway). Sure, the team was pretty good once or twice, but they've been mediocre or worse for the majority of his career. How someone can see what the team did last year, lose seven straight games without him this year and still say stupid shit like this, with a straight face, is just completely beyond my comprehension. He had 10 seasons, plenty of weapons and stout defenses and did jack shit.
Damn you. I've been listening to him for 14 years and I never made that connection. Now that's all I'll ever hear.Is norm the guy who sounds like Kermit?
It is an interesting question. I'd lean toward yes; Romo's been unfairly slagged by his own fanbase because of it, too.Is calling Romo a poor mans's Tom Brady fair?
Duke Simpson, played by former Milwaukee Brewer Willie Mueller.Hardy is obviously the Yankees pitcher who threw at his own son at a father-son game.
I dunno, you can say this about a lot of top 10 quarterbacks. I like Romo, but how good would Indy / NYG / NO / SD be without their QBs (especially losing them mid-season)? Conversely, how good would say, OAK / Buf / NYJ / TB / Ten have been over the past few years with Romo, Brees, Rivers, etc instead of the junk they put out there?Without Romo, the Cowboys are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Indy is not currently a great example, as they are 2-0 sans Luck. That could change in the coming weeks but as of now, that's what it is.I dunno, you can say this about a lot of top 10 quarterbacks. Romo is definitely a top 10 QB, and I think most reasonable fans would agree, but I don't think he's criminally underrated or anything.
I'd say he's more overmaligned than underrated.I dunno, you can say this about a lot of top 10 quarterbacks. I'm not really sure those are mutually exclusive.I'd say he's more overmaligned than underrated.
Let's just hope Romo got all of his rust out of the way because he's going to need to be a lot sharper with Carolina coming to town. Call me crazy, but I don't think they'll be able to get away with those two interceptions this time around. One step closer to 8-8
In part, for violating the team dress code.Christine Michael was also cut
Former Cowboys cornerback Corey White and running back Christine Michael were both cut last Tuesday for not wearing suits during the team's road trip to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The news was first reported by The Dallas Morning News on Monday. White confirmed the Cowboys' reasoning to TMZ Sports on Tuesday, saying that a coach specifically told him that he was released for not wearing a suit.
"I'm not mad ... It's the rules," he told TMZ Sports, adding that he wore slacks and a button-down on the trip -- an outfit choice that evidently breaks the teams dress code.
An anonymous Cowboys player further explained the cuts in the Morning News' report by saying, "Sometimes you just have to drop the hammer." That quote, in the context of everything that's surrounded Dallas Cowboy Greg Hardy this season, is disappointing, to say the least. The Cowboys were all too willing to use "the hammer" on backup players who don't dress up to an arbitrary professional standard, yet the team's misogynistic, allegedly abusive defensive star can brew his own drama and show up late to work without any tangible repercussions.
For the third time this season, Hardy was late to team facilities again last Thursday, and then late to another meeting last Saturday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This prompted another "come to Jerry" moment from the organization, which at this point in the Cowboys' 3-7 season, wreaks of desperation.

We've confirmed ... 23-year-old Randle was arrested at 10:40 PM in front of the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, KS.
Sources at the casino tell us he was initially asked to leave for being too drunk -- but on the way out, spit on the floor and assaulted a security officer.
It's ok, you can say it. We all know he deserved it.Waiting to comment until I know what he was wearing.
yes left clavicle again
The silver lining in your shit sandwich of a season.Top 5 pick, here we come!
The corn will be Jerry fucking it up and reaching for some dumbshit safety who runs afoul with the law and is out of the league by 2018.The silver lining in your shit sandwich of a season.
Johnny football might be available soon. The corn will be Jerry fucking it up and reaching for some dumbshit safety who runs afoul with the law and is out of the league by 2018.
You know I'll cut you, right?Johnny football might be available soon.
Don't you mean extend him for his leadership qualities? Now that the season is over can't wait for the Cowboys to cut Greg Hardy and for Jerry Jone's explanation. opcorn
The serious questions now are whether Romo is done and what you do if he is.The corn will be Jerry fucking it up and reaching for some dumbshit safety who runs afoul with the law and is out of the league by 2018.
How about Kaep? Serious question. With Romo's age and brittle bones he'd more than likely have a legit "prove it" opportunity. Now what? I would not trust Jerry with this. Stephen yes, Jerry no. I'd be terrified he has RGIII and Manziel itches to scratch.
