At home
I only saw a few snippets of this game, but the few times I was watching, Detroit got screwed royally by the officials - calls, non-calls, you name it. Too bad. I would have liked for Seattle to lose this game.

Tomorrow's games HAVE to be better than these first two, snoozers......
I think this is the NFL now. Someone on the radio was saying that one of the reason the prime time games seem shitty is that you have no choice but to watch the entire 3 to 3 and a half hours. When you only watch your favorite team, you are not thinking about how shitty the game is, and when you watch on Sunday, maybe you're flipping and watching red zone and watching your fantasy players.

But when you are forced to watch one game because there is no other choice, the simple fact is that you are confronted with how shitty the product is except in the rare times when it's actually a decent, well played, well officiated game.

Half way through, just as advertized. Maybe the severe cold in Pitt tomorrow oddly equalizes things. If not, that figures to be non-competitive, which leaves us with NY at GB.

So we're cheering for Miami tomorrow?
I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, seeing Pittsburgh knocked off would be nice. On the other hand, Miami is a far better team than Houston. Neither team really has much of a chance against the Pats next week but Miami's chances are definitely greater. I kind of want to just let us get Houston, who is terrible, and let KC and Pitt beat each other up for 3 hours.

I'm going to try to abstain from having a rooting interest. Previous playoff games have taught me to be careful what you wish for. Any given Sunday and all that. But man, Houston is a fucking bad football team.

The Dolphins really took it to the Steelers in Miami earlier this season -- you can't lay it all on the BR injury. Steelers are deservedly favored, but I expect a competitive game.

I guess it comes down to whether you think the talent gap between Miami and Houston is greater than the difference between Pitt and KC. I'd rather get the opponents behind door #1 (Houston, then winner of KC/Pitt) than those behind door #2 (Miami, then KC after they beat Houston).

I'm not willing to seriously countenance the idea that Houston beats KC on the road, so I haven't figured that into the calculation.

There's a non-zero chance that Miami winning means we avoid both Pittsburgh and KC. Not likely perhaps, but nor is it likely that Miami beats us next week. Go Dolphins.

The Pats should handle either team fairly easily next week, but I can see Miami finding a way to make a third meeting with the Pats competitive, whereas Houston is hot garbage. OTOH I can't root for the Steelers or Rapitsburger under any circumstances except if they are playing the Ravens, so hopefully both teams just beat the ever living shit out of each other today.

My dislike for the Pittsburgh team/players/coaches/fans does not allow me to root for them in any capacity.

My hope for the game is a rash of fights, injuries and suspensions.

Somewhere
Secretly?

If you like seafood, it's an obvious choice.
Well sure, but with snap freezing and modern shipment/delivery you can get good Alaskan seafood pretty much anywhere in the country.

Seattle nails it on a lot of other levels, particularly cheap/midrange food. There are like a half dozen burger places in Seattle better than anything I find in most cities (including the one I live in now).
