Stupid Things I Can't Figure Out

If you hit “copy” on a photo on the web and go into the picture icon on SoSH, you can toggle to add links in the top left corner of the picture dialogue box that opens. If you hit paste in there, it will paste the link of the picture you copied.
Just so this thread is clear as well, the app is dead. If it works for some people, that's dumb luck and you should expect it to continue falling apart.
I am having the same problem - I just noticed that my membership must have expired, and I can't figure out how to renew. I go to Account Upgrades, but when I click to purchase I get the error notice to "set payment preferences," but can't figure out how to do that. I know I paid by cc before so I'm flummoxed.
I can't tell if this is a bug with iOS or a problem with this site. Here's the problem: with my iPad, if I click and hold on a thread and then select "Open in New Tab", it jumps to the very last message in the thread, not the first unread message. This doesn't happen with a computer or an iPhone: on those, I see the first unread message. It also doesn't happen if I just click on the thread and let it open in the current window. Any ideas?
I have iPad Air 2 with latest iOS and I don’t have this issue. I use it all the time. What are you using!
i have occasionally seen cases where it brings me to the first post in a thread but I think that is a forum bug as I have seen it on desktop as well.
It's a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, iOS 13.2. I'll update to the newest iOS (13.2.2) and see if that helps.
I've seen this, too, but then clicking on the "Jump to new" button at the top usually takes me to the right place. (Although that button isn't always there, for some reason.)
Didn't help, I still get strange behavior when opening threads in new tabs on my iPad.
I guess I'm at a loss. Well, I might be getting a Ipad Pro soon so it's possible I might see the same issue as you. The iPad Air 2 is about 5 years old now so I'm due for an update.
Possibly, although twitter itself is fine. It seems to work everywhere else so I'm sure something behind the scenes here got switched. Not a huge deal.
I can’t seem to vote in polls or send PMs (unless they’re replies). It’s been awhile since I could, but I could at one point, and I wonder if it’s the function of some sort of tiered account membership or something I don’t understand? If a dope has a sec to help, I’d appreciate it.

I’ve seen a couple other posts about this issue but haven’t seen an answer posted... somewhere along the line my membership expired and when I go to the account upgrades section I get an error saying I need to choose a payment profile. I can’t seem to find anything about payments anywhere in the account section - am I just missing it?
I'm not clever enough to figure out how to send a PM without blasting it site-wide and embarrassing the recipient. I'd appreciate any help.
If you're in a thread, click on the members' name and at the bottom of the pop up box, there is a "start conversation" button and away you go

Hello, long-time lurker, I wanted to post a photo of a baseball card from my collection but it looks like I am not able to do that by the insert image function?
Where is the picture? Maybe upload it to a Google Photos or other photo sharing site. Or look up the player, year and baseball card company and link to that if available.
Anyone else having issues with avatars and general images in here? Only in the last hour. I'm on chrome.
Images aren’t always loading for me all of a sudden...a box with a number appears. I’m using Safari/IPhone. How did you fix your issue?

I can’t figure out how to search for a phrase. Most search boxes allow you to put a phrase in quotation marks and it will find that. I am trying that here and it brings up posts with both (common) words found anywhere in the post.
So I figured out why avatars aren't working for me - apparently my company is blocking them.
That said, when I click on "hide avatars" within preferences, I still see broken image links everywhere. Does hide avatars not work, or is there any other way to clean up the look?
