And ... so much for the Jays. Getting kicked around by the Orioles.
Edit: No one wants this. A’s choke it away to Rangers.

Have to say there's definitely potential for some serious AL WC chaos. And ... so much for the Jays. Getting kicked around by the Orioles.

And now another 2 run HR. 4-1 top 7.In game 2 of DH Jays were no hit thru 6, down 1-0. Then top of 7th, Vlad single, Bo bomb to take the lead.
The pen can be shaky but they are a fun team to watch. Starters generally pitch well and they just hammer the ball.Jays are scary. It’s the O’s, but still.
And they’re young. Not going anywhere in years to come. The pen can be shaky but they are a fun team to watch. Starters generally pitch well and they just hammer the ball.
4 teams that are at least 30 games over .500, 3 in the NL though. There are 11 teams at least 10 games over .500, 8 in the AL and 3 in the NL.
My point was more that ten teams make the postseason and eight of the best eleven records are in one league.4 teams that are at least 30 games over .500, 3 in the NL though.
View: https://twitter.com/longleysunsport/status/1437130708590514183?s=20Jays up 14-3 in the third, have scored 25 runs in the last 4 innings
It's only the 6th inning???!!!Blue Jays scored 22 in a doubleheader yesterday (11 in each game). Today they have scored 22.
Totally, I get it. The top four though, are so much better than the others. My point was more that ten teams make the postseason and eight of the best eleven records are in one league.
This is a shocking list to meAaron Nola 65
Michael Wacha 63 (doesn’t it seem like he should be 35?)
Carlos Martinez 62
Ed-Rod 62
Robbie Ray 60
Technically, 2 WS ringsWainwright actually seems like a guy who has an outside shot at the HOF. 182-105 career record, 3.35 ERA, 119 era+, 2k K’s. 4 time top 5 CYA, 2.89 era in 100+ post-season innings, 4 postseason wins, 4 saves, 1 WS ring.
True, didn’t pitch in 2011. His 185 wins are all the more impressive considering he missed all of ‘11, and almost all of 2015 and 2018.Technically, 2 WS rings
Jose Fernandez had 38 wins already at 23, the 2016 season and his last. He almost certainly would have been top of that list by a bunch. This is a shocking list to me
I assume Cohen will fire everyone as soon as the season is over. This Mets team is something else.
I moved that post to the Yankees game thread but I have to agree. They are a 500 team, all the thumbs down nonsense and Lindor shouting down the Yankees after a mid game homer shows a total lack of discipline and reflects really poorly on Rojas.I assume Cohen will fire everyone as soon as the season is over.
I don't even see why the thumbs down thing is an issue. Yankees were doing thjs 4 years ago and people were laughing about it. Now the Mets do it and it's disrespectfulI moved that post to the Yankees game thread but I have to agree. They are a 500 team, all the thumbs down nonsense and Lindor shouting down the Yankees after a mid game homer shows a total lack of discipline and reflects really poorly on Rojas.
(of course the third homer after all that was pretty cool).
The difference is that the Yankees were doing it based on one opposing fan giving Todd Frazier a thumbs down after a home run. The Mets were giving the thumbs down to their own fans.I don't even see why the thumbs down thing is an issue. Yankees were doing thjs 4 years ago and people were laughing about it. Spoke too soon. 8-0 in the 6th.Rays getting stomped out by the Jays. 6-0 in the 6th. Mchugh did fine for a couple shutout innings as the opener but they immediately jumped all over Yarbrough. You can't come at the Jays with his garbage.
The way the Jays are going, if they have any more at bats,, the score is going to change.Spoke too soon. 8-0 in the 6th.
Rays are kind of punting this one a bit. They put a garbage lineup out there behind Yarbrough and especially now they'll just feed the mop-up guys to the wolves, but still the Jays are frightening and the Rays bullpen is swooning, so wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the series is ugly, too.I liked it.

Agreed. No matter how good the two teams are, it is always a bloodbath in favor of the Yankees. It's to the point where if the Twins are up 8-0 in the 9th, I still am convinced that NY will find a way to win. It's frigging ridiculous.Football has some lopsided matchups, but I cannot really think of another matchup in the big four sports that is as consistently as significant as the Yankees' dominance over the Twins. It really is crazy how dominant they are.
I was watching the Twins broadcast today, and it was genuinely funny how the announcers seemed resigned to their fate.Agreed. Tampa doesn't look like a team that would blow an 8 game lead but AL East teams are very streaky. It's going to be an interesting last 3 weeks.Rays are kind of punting this one a bit.
