Just turned on and it sounds like they are just playing a best of Brookline 911 bit. So, yeah, maybe there is some validity to that IG bomb.Well no Fred so far and no mention of him.
Same. Hopefully everything is OK, he clearly hasn't been taking this situation well (which I dont mean as a negative, everyone deals differently).I only listened for 20 minutes today but nothing about Fred was mentioned.

Any chance the divorce was from Rich/98.5 and he's taken it down due to legal reasons? They didn't mention him at all. He's also deleted the IG post.
I actually was wondering the same thing since one of the hashtags was influencer. That seems a weird hashtag when getting a divorce from a significant other but not so weird when done in regards to work I suppose.Any chance the divorce was from Rich/98.5 and he's taken it down due to legal reasons?
His #getinline hashtag was conspicuously missing the word "ladies."
And has he ever been that public about his private life?
I guess he puts that on every post he does? It does seem odd to keep the trend on that kind of posting, though.I actually was wondering the same thing since one of the hashtags was influencer. Yeah, Fred doesn't have the personality for social media. It always lands him in trouble. The station literally just let him move to Nowhere, Tennessee, and do the show from there for who knows how long, so I don't think he has any festering professional issues at the moment.
Fred has a long history of making hasty posts on social media that he takes down when cooler heads prevail/he sobers up. Hopefully for his family's sake this is one of those times. The show has brought me a lot of joy, especially the past couple months, so I do hope everything turn out OK.
I was being coy. His drinking is clearly a problem.May want to?
Today he mentioned he's "seeing" two shrinks right now -- one of whom Fred didn't like in part because he bluntly told him he should go to a hospital.I checked out his instagram, there's a recent vid where he's with his kids and gives a little tour of his parents place. Looks awesome. But Fred looks awfulllllllll. Like, not taking a shower, not putting on clean clothes awful. Kind of feel bad for him, although that's a hell of a place to get to quarantine.
To be fair, his wife said that shrink was a jackass too. They both agreed the other one was good. I know way too much about the poor guy's life, ha.Today he mentioned he's "seeing" two shrinks right now -- one of whom Fred didn't like in part because he bluntly told him he should go to a hospital.
On Friday they said he would be back today, haven't heard anything, Joe Murray is in.No Fred again today? He was gone all of last week as well.
There's a ton of people out there dealing with far worse, but that's pretty dumb on management. The show has been fine 100% remote and there's no sports until the end of July. Pissing off the highest rated morning show during a pandemic is an odd move. I missed the segment so I'll need to listen to the podcast later.Management was pissed at Fred since he can’t come back into the studio as planned since he now has quarantine so they forced him to take a week vacation. Now he has no vacation left until like September and is even having to work 4th of July week
Nope. I think he mentioned the other day that her doctor is projecting that they (maybe just he?) can go back ~mid-July.Is Rich back in the studio? Given his wife's health, I can't see him wanting to risk things until he absolutely has to.
Curious on what that timeline is based upon. Honestly, everything feels make believe. Like nobody really knows what the big picture or what best steps are, just people making guesses. Not trying to be callous, but it's very unlikely this just disappears into the ether and as long as it's around Rich is going to be trapped at home.Nope. I think he mentioned the other day that her doctor is projecting that they (maybe just he?) can go back ~mid-July.
I completely get what you’re saying. I feel the same way with Rich. I think it’s because he isn’t a HUGE sports fan so he gets called on a bad take and doesn’t have the history of sorts fandom to either back it up or talk it to death.Fred’s one of the few guys I can like while he’s presenting bad takes. I have completely separated my enjoyment of his personality (which I will always find compelling) from his rhetoric (which is hit and miss). Can’t say the same of Rich - his bad takes drive me crazy. Not sure why. I could listen to Fred be wrong all day and still be entertained.
Don't forget the fact that he got off the plane in Tenn from MA and the next day went to the pharmacy looking for a card. People like Fred are the problem with the US response. Can't do the most basic things to help make the situation better because it's inconvenient to him.Listened to Fred defend not doing anything for Mother’s Day for his wife... that was a bit awkward.
I feel like Rich annoys me as well with his takes from the other end. It would be great if they had a "middle ground" voice on there. (Wallach is of course useless.)I can barely listen to the show anymore with Fred's takes on COVID-19. I had to turn it off after 5 min today with Fred just wish casting and saying constantly the "young people don't get sick" and it's no big deal and who cares just move on. It's day after day of him saying the same thing.
I feel like Wallach is probably 3rd out of 3 sidekicks to control the T&R dialogue, Christian Arcand may be slightly better but can get easily frustrated so he is 2nd, but Hardy would be ideal. He seems to get in a good back in forth when co-hosting with either Rich or Toucher when one of them is absent. If Wallach didn't get the tiresome NEEERDS! bullying from Zolak as evidenced during any of their crossovers, he'd be a better fit for the midday show.I feel like Rich annoys me as well with his takes from the other end. It would be great if they had a "middle ground" voice on there. (Wallach is of course useless.)
It's a tough listen with their Covid discussions where they both project their own personal insecurities into it. Rich getting at a near hysterical level about hockey not starting makes me shut it off as well.I feel like Rich annoys me as well with his takes from the other end.
