Sounds like a more athletic Timme without the footworkOne of the things that stands out about Gueye is his fluid athleticism and movement skills. He runs the floor like a guard and has elite level agility for a 6-10 to 6-11 player.
He’s got a nice perimeter game and the makings of a solid jump shot, showing great form and a natural shooting motion. He’ll need to get a bit more consistent and continue to hone his craft but all the makings are their of a dangerous 6-11 jump shooter.
Gueye handles the ball well for a big and can bring the ball up the court and make plays off the bounce.
He also does a good job of protecting the rim. He’s not a true center or defensive anchor but can offer good rim protection and interior defense for a PF.
And now they have 2,025-2,029 second rounders.I didn’t realize they had no second rounders from 2025-29.
had a swap in 2026 better of Miami/IND but yeah we used a lot of 2nds in trades, and I expect we'll use some of these in a couple weeks.I didn’t realize they had no second rounders from 2025-29.
One, 2026.I didn’t realize they had no second rounders from 2025-29.

The reason I like Jackson is that he already has some pretty mature offensive skills that have a decent chance of translating. Just not the basket making. But obviously I don’t know Walsh well.younger with better size, probably more upside. Not sure either makes it, but they're close to a tossup to the point I'd much rather get another pick
The only fake pick they made tonight that made me mad before finding out it was traded was the first one, 6'2" guard (with the caveat that I know nothing about any of these players).Brad just trading a lot to show Marcus it wasn't personal.
Walsh looks like a competitor who plays within himself. Defense is how these guys get on the floor anyways. Not the worst pick. I was dreading another smurfy guard.
Nope. But they could always flip some of the second-rounders they got to trade back into this draft, I suppose. So, did the Celtics get another second round pick for tonight?
He also has the advantage of having been in the Final Four at a regional school just three months ago, so he has a degree of name recognition. The reason I like Jackson is that he already has some pretty mature offensive skills that have a decent chance of translating. What did they get for 39 then? Two second rounders?Nope. But they could always flip some of the second-rounders they got to trade back into this draft, I suppose.
And a $5M exception (I think but not sure)So the return on Marcus is Porzingis, Walsh and 5 second rounders.
And a 1stSo the return on Marcus is Porzingis, Walsh and 5 second rounders.
Don’t they also get a Dubs pick? I am so freaking confused. So the return on Marcus is Porzingis, Walsh and 5 second rounders.
Just one, I think. What did they get for 39 then? Two second rounders?
Next year's Warriors first. They traded the first for all the seconds.
And this one shows he plays pretty good defense. A starting point I suppose.Just watched some Walsh videos and, even though he shoots a low percentage, he has pretty clean mechanics
Essentially high-spending teams will be more limited in terms of signing free agents, so draft picks will become more valuable as a way for those teams to build out their rosters.Could someone explain why, under the new CBA, 2nd round picks are actually more valuable draft capital than they were before the new CBA?
who is the best ring chaser available?Right! And the 5 million TMLE.
Yep I’m an idiot.Don’t they also get a Dubs pick? I am so freaking confused.
They had the players they were short on moms and dads.Yay more Redick. Thankfully ESPN has run out of players present to interview
Semi was much older and therefore much closer to a finished product when he was drafted (he turned 23 about six months after the draft). Walsh just turned 19. There's plenty of time.Shades of Semi on draft night.
