Quite a few schools won't say anything about injuries, citing HIPAA concerns. I don't know what Michigan's policy is, but there's certainly no reporting requirement like in the NFL.
You are absolutely right but.........

For all the wrong reasons, college coaches have an incentive to cover the spread. I wish I could find the article somewhere, but there is some good evidence that one factor why college coaches run up scores in games is because alums increase contributions somewhat notably after the team covers spreads (NB: i don't remember if this is an immediate effect or an "over the course of a season" effect).

If Peppers was truly questionable and UM fails to cover, particularly if they lose and fail to cover, I think Harbaugh will hear about this.

He wasn't tackled, he tripped over his own man and the explanation is literally at the top of the page.

A month later and still whining. You can't spell "Michigan" without b-I-t-c-h.

The big ten called it a missed call but whatever - you know everything - your brilliance is too much to take. It's like staring into the sun

They quite literally did not. The author of an article on the officiating said it. The Big Ten has made absolutely no comment on this call.

I am, as a point of fact, far too intelligent for you. Henceforth please address me as "sir."

"Hi coach Harbaugh, this is president Schlossel. I need to talk to you about a very serious matter. One of our big alumni donors, Richy McRichardson, had money on the Orange Bowl and you did not notify the media that Peppers may not play..."

Seriously, Yammer, you should delete that post and pretend it never happened. Fucking moronic, even by your lofty standards.

Nope. I want to fuck with you as much as I can. Man, this loss, to a number 11 team has to suck, huh?

Season ended in columbus - I'm over tonight already.

You think Harbaugh is leaving or you just like chirping? Which is it? Tell me what you actually think will happen bc, being much less smart than you, I can't tell when you're kidding or being serious. I need things spelled out super clearly since I know you know everything

I think there is a better than 50 percent chance that he is not coaching Michigan by the end of February. There are too many big time NFL opportunities that are looking for a big name coach, including teams he has been affiliated with in the past. I don't believe that he is anywhere near as loyal as you perceive, I think he is a very thin
Skinned guy and he knows his team won't be good next year while the rest of the conference is on the rise.

But finally, you were dead certain that he wouldn't leave. Your offer was $30 for me to $200 for you, which I took. You then wanted to do $100 for me to $300 for you, which is not in line with the original bet.

Your stupidity is one of the great joys to me as I feel good about what a shithole UM is.

Oh now it's 50-50? Ok. So we have our Jimmy fund bet...now let's add my $100 vs your $50 (same rules, end of feb etc). I can tell you're really smart and know what you're talking about so let's do this. You said 50 pct chance.

"We cannot have our wealthy alum donors not know about these things, Jim. It's simply unacceptable."

Are you really standing by your ridiculous assertion that Harbaugh will get flack for not revealing peppers injury status before the game? Are you standing by that unbelievably stupid point? Please say you are.

It was $30 to $200. I will amp up to 100 if you will amp up to $660.

You just said 50 pct chance he leaves so o have you a whale of a deal on the Jimmy fund, which is all good bc I will have no regrets making a donation to them...but if it's 50-50, why won't you take even better odds ($100 vs $50) on another bet? It's bc you're full of shit and you know it.

Knock what off? He loves to stir shit up but when called on it, he turtles.
Where have I turtled? You literally made up a point about the B1G making a statement about something you made an ass of yourself about in a separate thread, and were called out on it. Then you want to make a bet with new odds. Please, you are silly.

You are 100 percent confident he won't leave per prior posts. Why are you unwilling to hold to the terms of the bet.......what with that being how bets usually work and all.

Nonsense. I want to make a bet that gives you better odds than what you said yourself would happen.

Yammer: 50 pct chance Harbaugh leaves by end of $50

Twib: I'll bet you $100 against $50 you're wrong

Yammer: [chirp chirp...turtle]

But you just said 50 pct and you're much much smarter and more enlightened than me.
I also understand how deals work. My belief regarding the probability of his departure only impacts my decision to make the bet. The bet was 6.5-1. If you want to alter terms and claim some type of machismo, try betting with middle schoolers.

Good game, though. This was the most entertaining bowl game I've watched so far this bowl season
That it was, and both teams played some interesting football. While I don't think it would have made a difference, FSU sure seemed to jump
Offside on the 4th and 10 at the end there.

As it was happening, I thought the odds of an INT were greater than the odds of a catch. Something part-bizarre, part-herculean, part-miraculous happened on that play for the WR to come down with it.
I still can't tell if the DB misplayed it or the throw was just that perfect. But man oh man was it something else.

It wasn't a request. Both of you stop. Now.
Why do they have to stop? It's a bowl game thread and it's actually hilarious to follow along with. I do not understand the SoSH gestapo act in certain threads. What's the difference if these two idiots keep poking at each other to the enjoyment of all?

This morning there was talk on the radio that Harbaugh should have taken his time outs on defense to give his team enough time to score at the end of the game. Obviously in hindsight that makes sense but in the moment I felt he was managing the clock fine. Why give your opponent the chance to settle in and think about their next few plays?

I don't know, what did others think on that?

Agreed. Plus, I think FSU still could have made a first down, which would end the game if you use your timeouts first.

36 seconds with three TOs should be more than enough to get into FG range in college football.

I just assumed he was trying to get the game over quickly so he could resume negotiations to coach the corpse of Andrew Luck.

Or more to the point, it doesn't matter. The great thing about bowl games is that unless they help decide a national championship, it's terrific if your team wins and you don't lose any sleep over a loss. As twib said, the game in Columbus mattered. The game in Dallas matters. Last night? Can't recall much.
