Hmm wide strike for Estrada there to Naquin. So it's not one sided anyway

Seems like an unconventional usage of Miller, having him come in in the 7th with nobody on base. But the Indians have had him pitch in the 7th multiple times this year, a couple times with no one on.

Win probability went from 85.9% when Kluber left with 1 out to 89.4% after Miller got out of the inning, according to fangraphs.
He might go two innings, even though the Big 3 are righties

On the year, Cleveland had 60 sacrifice flies and 31 sacrifice bunts. Red Sox had 40 and 8.

I don't really have a point. Interesting though.

Yeah, I know, but that was a shorter series, the Indians pitcher had just given up a HR to Leon, and in this game Kluber was pitching and had just gotten an out on one pitch.
Seems like quite different circumstances, but maybe not.

but with a game in 17 hours and bottom of the order, and an insurance run, you bring in Allen for the 9th, correct?

Having a pitcher that repeatedly gets strikes on pitches that guys have no chance to hit is so great in the playoffs. They get outs, and they don't stress you out. Like playoff Koji.

I expect Allen. if Martin reached I expected Shaw. I figure Martin was last batter for Miller either way if Tito had any hope of using him tomorrow.

Plus, he was wearing that hat during his last year in Cleveland. I think that was a telegraph that he was considering leaving Cleveland in 2010. Plus, he was 23 then, right? If that is the worst tabloid thing Lebron has done in his years as a sports megastar, I think that's pretty impressive.

Indians manager Terry Francona said Saturday that he plans to go "game by game'' with his pitching rotation for the rest of the American League Championship Series. That appears to include the possibility of bringing back staff ace Corey Kluber on short rest in a Game 4 on Tuesday in Toronto.

Francona has three possible options for Game 4: He can start Mike Clevinger, who went five innings his last start against Kansas City on Sept. 22; he can go with Ryan Merritt, who spent most of this season pitching for Triple-A Columbus; or he can go back to Kluber, who threw 100 pitches over 6⅓ innings in Cleveland's 2-0 victory over Toronto in the series opener at Progressive Field on Friday.

In the mostly silly and useless TBS pre-game, Pedro had some interesting comments on last night's umpire, whom he declared "not major-league ready." I wonder if MLB is uncomfortable with that kind of talk.

Maybe you mean TBS's pregame is generally useless, but Is Pedro wrong in his assessment of Diaz? I don't think so.
