To no one's surprise, I will say I have trouble telling who's most responsible for outcomes: the pitcher or the batter. (Sometimes the ump.) Were those three fly-ball outs proof of Crawford's prowess or batter weakness?
Playing "Beer-An-Inning" has gotten much harder with the increased pace of play. Really tough to do now.
On the other hand, Duvall had the temerity to subject us all to a ‘slump’. In MLB, these incidents of slumping are so incredibly rare that it would be malpractice not to point it out endlessly.
That's where the analytics influence bothers me. Was there really any reason to do that in the third inning?
Unless all the White Sox available relievers are RHP's, then I don't really think so.
At the same time, you're going for a series win, and in that spot I think Casas gave you the better opportunity for runs.
