Kluber was indecent last night. Those balls were long, hard and deep. That's in decent.
What's the difference between Jarren Duran stealing bases and a peeping tom? Duran snatches bags.
Carl Pohlad pretended to be so poor that if he wasn't a man he'd have nothing to play with.
David Ortiz....Twins fans will never forget him. But they've tried.

Another solid choice, Sanford and Son was a very underrated show.

How ironic in that @joe dokes is on a comedian run and tonight we get Bill Burr on the NESN broadcast, should be interesting.

I have to admit that, while I have heard of Bill Burr, and was pretty sure he's a comedian, I know nothing about him or his work (except his Breaking Bad appearance).

That's okay ... he's never heard of you, either

Game 75
All our pitchers (sans Kluber) mowed down pricks.
in a 10 to 4 win. That makes it 6
games in a row. When the Sox offense clicks,
they seize control just like the Bolsheviks,
and opposing pitchers run out of tricks,
unable to solve the complex Rubik’s
Cube of a lineup. There’s no way to nix
or even slow down the guys in our mix.
As of right now, there are no derelicts.
It seems the whole team is swinging big sticks
and doing damage like the lunatics
in A Clockwork Orange, one of Kubrick’s
most disturbing, darkest, demented flicks.
It’s all in good fun, though. We aren’t dicks.
We’re a collection of cool cats and chicks,
big city dwellers and back country hicks,
with fun online names and cute little pics
who post jokes and stats (but no Politics!)
to lift our spirits when we’ve had bad licks.
Rooting for water’s how we get our kicks.
Win again. We’re thirsty. We need our fix.

When we we make the next Punto deal, can we give up Burr and get Ferrell or Haddish back from LA?

"All she has on me is who I am as a person."
That and baking in the xray machine got a laugh. But comedy, like other forms of art, is in the eye of the beholder. I mean no disrespect to his fans here.

He's certainly not for everyone, his "angry guy from Boston" rants specifically.

I'm sure his "woke" comments don't fly with a lot of people as well.

BONUS POEM

ODE TO JOE
"Joe dokes" is an anagram of "Jokes Ode"
which seems like a funny yet fitting code,
for as his tribute to comedy's flowed,
he's helped the laughs and the offense explode.
(The secret to both is timing.) Joe strode
up when the season was in the commode,
bringing us joy which has led to a load
of wins, first at Fenway then on the road.
We give great thanks for the gift he's bestowed,
and hope the good times will never be slowed.

I like bill burr most of the time. His stand up is just ok but his last special on Netflix was (for me) a bit of a miss. I’ve always felt he’s at his best when being interviewed on late night or for talk shows. Just my opinion.

edit; not really looking forward to him being in the booth for 9 innings.

Agreed; his last special was not very good.

Loved his banter with Conan, some great stuff.

I find a lot of comedians to be self-important, hypocritical babies and nothing will hammer home that belief with greater strength than when they complain about “wokeness”, “political correctness“, or “people being too sensitive“

Nine innings? This isn't just a drop in for an inning thing? Who the fuck thinks this is a good idea?
My belief is that yes… it’s for the full broadcast. And we thought millar was annoying lol

Duvall off; I'm guessing Devers gets tomorrow afternoon. (Yoshida DH; Turner 3B?)

Wish we'd see less of McGuire out there against so many RHP when Wong has a reverse split.
