Yup 1 year, $10 millionJust heard on WFAN Rick Porcello is taking his heavy sinker to the Mets on a 1 yr deal.
Hader would just replace Betances so unlikely. They aren’t stopping.Rosenthal said in his notes column that the Yankees have been the most aggressive pursuer of Josh Hader. Chapman, Hader, Ottavino, Britton, Kahnle almost seems like too many high end arms. Might they trade someone in a deal?
Chad Green also, who shouldn’t have to do any opening this year as NY has lots of SPs now. It will be hard for NY to actually get Hader and if they did, they could move someone as you say, or they could keep all six of those guys and couple them with two long guys with options in a 8 man pen.Rosenthal said in his notes column that the Yankees have been the most aggressive pursuer of Josh Hader. Rays have been all over this guy for awhile. Apparently they think he can play 3B. He’s been working out with Arenado this off-season.
I think the problem is that outside of Jo Adell, they probably don't have the prospects to make the best offer for Kluber. And Jo Adell is probably too much to give up for a 34 year old Kluber coming off a lost season. The Angels ideally need at least two more SPs, and with Rendon and Simmons on the left side now, it seems like Keuchel would be a match made in heaven. Given their needs, I'm a little surprised they're publicly out on Kluber, but maybe they don't want to give up prospects unless they can't get what they need in FA.

I don't either, but ARI is a very smart front office currently, so we'll see. He is around half the price per season of the Greinke deal they moved last deadline at least...That's a blow for Giants fans, but I don't think MadBum has 5 effective years left.
Does it? While none of Price's rumored suitors signed Bumgarner, do we know that any of them were showing strong interest at the price he was asking? This should make Price's market even stronger, right? Bumgarner going to a team not on the radar.
Considering what the Indians got for Kluber, I can't imagine the market for expensive pitchers is very strong. This should make Price's market even stronger, right? Bumgarner going to a team not on the radar.
If they pay down $36 million of his salary, 3 years of Price at $20 million is certainly a tradeable contract.Considering what the Indians got for Kluber, I can't imagine the market for expensive pitchers is very strong.
The Dodgers showed interest in Bumgarner and also in Price. The Angels are still looking for a top of the rotation starter and are still $34 million under the first luxury tax threshold. The Cardinals were in on Bumgarner and have also showed interest in Price. The White Sox are looking to spend for a pitcher. I think there is a taker out there for Price.Does it? Sure would be at that price. Wonder if the Sox want to eat that much per year though. If they pay down $36 million of his salary, 3 years of Price at $20 million is certainly a tradeable contract.
I'd wager that Kluber's medicals look worse than Price'sConsidering what the Indians got for Kluber, I can't imagine the market for expensive pitchers is very strong.
Right, but IMO if the Dodgers or Cards were interested in Bumgarner at HIS price he would have signed with either of them. They pretty much knew what it was going to take to sign him as that 5/100 number was out there and they refused to pay it. That's why I'm thinking that signing doesn't really affect the market for Price. I think what might drive Price's market will be the interest of another team (or teams) that think Price is the guy who puts them over the top.If they pay down $36 million of his salary, 3 years of Price at $20 million is certainly a tradeable contract.
