But Fowler sucks.

Edit- He's decent, but bordering on falling out of the top 50 in the OWGR which could push him out of some majors and WGC's.

Yeah, he didn't have a great year last year. But he has some upside. He's certainly a debated fantasy golfer but I really do like rooting for him, so why not? It's not like I'm going to compete against the monsters in this league. I may as well have some fun. I have seen him ranked as high was 17th in draft leagues. So at 21. Not awful.

FL4WL3SS takes JASON DUFNER, and I am absolutely stunned that Rickie Fowler went before Duff Daddy. Great value pick here in the 2nd round.

I was looking at Dufner. And it came down to the fact that I like Fowler more. Although much respect for Dufner's wife.

Kinda surprised half of last year's major winners (who aren't exactly flashes in the pan) lasted until 19 and 22 overall. Understand that there are definitely question marks around them, especially Rose's health, but I felt that they would go earlier, generally middle of the first round.

I certainly gave Dufner some very serious thought when I chose Mahan, so I'm surprised he lasted this long. I was scared off by his picking up some European Tour events this year, which lowers his tournament totals a bit.

No matter what, I'm going to be happier this year because I like rooting for both of these guys.

Good luck with Luke,   I liked rooting for him for about 6-8 weeks last year,   then I pretty much grew to really hate him as I bought the worst year of his career

English is probably the one guy I looked at who was in the golf rankings in the range of my second round pick, and I was hoping would fall.     Right now I don't even want to look until it is a couple picks before my turn

well harris was going to be my pick . So I will go with my section option. Please bold. And highlight

GRAHAM DELAET

Best tee to green last year. Hoping he gets a hot putter this season to go along with that

I had English and one other guy pegged for my pick, we will see if "other guy" is still available after the next pick.

I think that's a very good pick.  I considered him instead of Bubba.

I have double checked twice to make sure he wasn't gone, and also made sure there was no serious news out there about him. I will stick with Jim's and take JIM FURYK.

Also one quick thing before I go....

I probably would have taken Dufner over Fowler but Ricky is working with Butch Harmon this year...

Andy Brickley's potty mouth
Not a huge fan of most of the euro trash left.  Going to take a minor chance on GARY WOODLAND

Almost chose him with my second pick. He's my favorite player, but had to talk myself out of it with Dufner still in the board. Would have been dumb to choose him over duff.

This is one of the make or break picks.  I just can't bring myself to pick one of the low volume majors contenders at this point.  I have 3 guys I like but decided to go with my gut instead of one of the safe picks.

Have gone back and forth on this one in a big way.  Wanted moore.   Just way to many pretty even guys out there.   This guy had a hell of a rookie year last year,  and played great golf yesterday, so I don't think he'd be there in another round

I'm kind of surprised this guy is still around here. He is definitely a riskier pick since he plays such a limited schedule, but if all goes to plan he could deliver 6-8 top 10s for the year in the big events. He said he would keep an eye on Ryder Cup standings which could put him into a couple more events as well. If he repeats his performance from last year, this pick will be well worth it at this point of the draft. If he doesn't...he'll still be better than my 2nd round pick last year.

I thought long and hard about Stricker for my second round pick.  The reason I didn't take him is he has a much, much higher risk profile than most on the PGA Tour.  It isn't just that he plays in so few events, it's that his season last year was almost a fluke, in the sense that it's very hard to keep your game at such a high level when you don't play that much.

If he even comes close to maintaining his level of play this year then you have a steal.  But even a slight regression will damage his value.

Of course, he'll still be better than most of my team was last year, so perhaps I should ease up a bit ...

I have no problem with the Stricker pick.   Love the guy, and your are right.  I just decided to go with the week to week guys. Last year my team had so many of the big event, but not week to week players, so that almost half the tournaments I ended up with nothing to cheer for, basically counting on my 6th and 7th rounders to try and steal the week for me.

No doubt. I'm basically betting that his elevated play was actually a result of playing less rather than a fluke. He did say being rested and energized helped him focus much more and improved his play, but he would probably say that no matter what, even if it was a fluke.

Yeah I had the opposite last year. I had a lot of week to week guys but no one who did anything in the big events outside of Mahan really. Sounded like neither approach worked for us last year, it'll be interesting to see the flip side.

Snedeker - Stricker is a solid 1-2 punch in all of the big events this year, I'm quite happy with that part.

I'm going with Team Ireland, baby!

GRAEME MCDOWELL

I'm picking him mainly because GMac is one of my favorite players and he's fun to root for. Had two wins overseas in 2013, here's to hoping he wins on this side of the Atlantic in 2014. Plus, it is a Ryder Cup year.

I went back and forth between Streelman and Reed.  Streelman had a better 2013, but I am hoping Reed has more upside potential

Sorry, yes please. I bet once you explain to me how to bold something I will wonder how the hell I didn't already know how to do that.

Yeah it really wasn't a tough choice for me. Streelman was a top 20 player in our league last year and already has a 3rd place finish this year. That's pretty nice at the end of the 2nd round.
