Tanaka's third pitch of the game is hit out of the park by Melky Cabrera, but MFY up 2-1 in bottom of first in Toronto.
Amazing that despite getting nothing out of Pineda to date, the Yankees have still handily won that trade.jon abbey said:

Didn't one get tazed in PHI like three years ago?mauidano said:Another asshole on the field running around. Start shooting them.
The A’s announced that the start of the game will be delayed due to inclement weather. They didn’t announce when that inclement weather occurred. It rained pregame for while and it was pretty steady. But they had the tarp on the field. No, the issues stems from not tarping the field over night after last night’s late-ending game. The area got a fair amount of rain after midnight. The field was saturated this morning. On field batting practice had to be canceled. Because it rain pregame, they weren’t able to get the field dry and then get it ready. Hence the delay.

Hickey must be an awesome pitching coach. I know Odorizzi's a starter but it seems like every year Hickey miraculously revitalizes some reliever's career.Wingack said:Jake Odirizzi looking real good tonight. Tampa really does a very nice job with these young pitchers.

In a 6 pitch AB Kenley Jansen threw 98 or 99 MPH with every pitch. Some registered as cutters and some as 4 seamers, but supposedly all he really throws is a fastball with natural cut like Mariano Rivera did. How a pitch can cut and be that fast I just can't even fathom.
