“He is trying to prove to the world that he is good enough with Nike equipment and it is early days."  Graeme McDowell.

As a Nike hater, I love this.

I know McDowell was defending him.

But I love that he has to defend him.  I like Rory.  I'm ambivalent on Tiger.  But I dislike Nike Golf.  Their equipment is not up to the standards it should be, and in the beginning they clearly ripped of Titleist.

Tiger's two-under after three holes this morning. He shot a 62 in the fourth round last year. He's out with the early birds today, trying to go low.

And they haven't stopped ripping off Titleist - the specs on his current set of irons are exactly the same his old ones.

It's not the arrow, it's the Indian.

This could be a fun afternoon of golf. The wind is whipping around again and the average score so far is 74+.

Guthrie crashes it into the trees on #2. Looks like Michael Thompson will be the leader after they're done here.

Looks like you'll finally be able to get some points in the fantasy league then.

Tiger's on a roll now. 6 birdies through 11, including 3'of the last 4 he's played.

Edit: Rory's been a little up and down today. Currently +1. 4 bogey's, an eagle and a birdie.

This course is just too easy for these guys when there's no wind. Hopefully the forecasts are right and the wind will pick up on the weekend.

WGC events always have great leaderboards but lets hope it stays this good during the weekend. DJ dropped 3 shots in the last 2 holes.

WBV is correct, no wind = pros going low on this course...though I think you can say that for almost any course in Florida.

This is shaping up to be a great weekend of golf. Tiger's hot again today and has the lead at -10, 1 shot ahead Lefty and GMac. Rose, Stricker, DJ, Bubba among the group lurking 2-3 shots behind Tiger.

Rory is still sort of farting around. E on the day, +1 for the tournament.

Three-shot lead for Woods, who has birdied 15 of his first 29 holes in this tourney. Phil just bogied to fall back to 9-under. Great leaderboard filled with big names.

McDowell shoots 67, goes to 11-under.

Tiger got in trouble on 4 but saves par.  McDowell had a birdie chance but missed it.  Tiger at -16, McDowell at -14.

And we got a Tiger fist pump on the par save.

McDowell chips in for eagle on 16 to regain second place, four shots back. I'd rather see him and Tiger in final group Sunday. They should give McDowell binoculars so he can keep Tiger in sight.

Tiger birdies 18, leads McDowell by 4. His confidence and swagger appear to be back. He didn't have much to say all day to McDowell, who is clearly a great competitor in his own right. McD eagled No. 1 and then made an eagle two on 16 to save a round that was going south.

Mickelson and Stricker are five back and should be playing together again on Sunday.

I think they said on NBC that TW is 21-0 when leading by more than 3 shots entering a final round so it would be historical if he didn't seal it tomorrow.

Looks like Tiger's going to par the first. That is basically a shot given back to the field, we'll see if anyone can make a run at him.

Still up 4. That's a pretty huge lead.

McIlroy shot 65 today, won't play again until Houston.

Stricker chips in to get to 17 under, four back with Tiger off green on 13. McDowell just chips in from behind green to get to 15 under. Tiger tries to do same, hits 3 feet past. And makes it. Four up with five to play.

Tiger shot his 2nd shot while the other guy's ball was still in midair? They can do that?

Edit: And then he comes a little too close to the water on his 3rd.
