For those on Gameday, WTF just happened?

Grounder to 1B which Belt came in on, ready to fire home, but runner stayed on 3B. Belt tried to then go tag first base, but the batter in full sprint slid under him to beat Belt to the bag.

Hmmm.  The 1993 team won 103 out of 162 games and finished second in their division, true.

But some other Giants teams might take offense at being left out of the "most talented" category.

1962: won 101 out of 162, then beat the Dodgers in a playoff to reach the World Series, in which they lost 4-3 to the Yankees.

1912: won 103 out of 151, then lost to Red Sox in the World Series 4-3

1905: won 103 out of 145, beat Philadelphia Athletics to win the World Series 4-1.

1904: won 106 out of 153, no World Series

OK, then, how about the 1993 team being the best "100% SF Team Ever", since the 1962 squad had some guys who still were from New York?

Peavy shits himself in another big game.

Is there a worse big game pitcher?

In contrast to regular season performance, the current answer has to be Clayton Kershaw. Though if we're talking about who's been worse in absolute, Peavy is a much stronger contender to that title.

I'd like to take this moment to thank John Lackey for sparing us from the abject horror of Jake Peavy in game 7 last year.

Man are the Royals having some BABIP luck tonight. Everything is dropping or finding a hole.

So if you're Bochy do you leave Petit in to throw 40-50 pitches or just concede this game and save him for Game 7.
If he can hold the line at 4-0, leave him in for a bit and see if the Giants can chip away.

Hudson for sure. Vargas probably.

Oops, Guthrie.
Man that's nuts. Hudson had never been beyond the LDS - now he's going to be starting World Series Game 7.
