Wakefielded?
Yep. Realistically, the Giants have 3 innings to close the gap. Royals add more, and the game is effectively out of hand

The Royals scored 7 runs without a walk or a home-run. 5 singles and three doubles.
The Giants would have scored 7 without a hit.

No Willie Mays catch on that.

It's time to take one for the team. Either that, or give everyone in the pen one inning.

Paging E5 Yaz, paging E5 Yaz.  How do you feel about equities, what are your favorite lottery numbers and if you really can see the future, should I bother getting the MLB package next season?

Remember the 90-year old lady they interviewed during the 2004 World Series who was doing the box scores? She was the best fan ever.

Yeah, how she schooled the interviewer when he thought he knew what was what.
Yeah, I remember her shaking her head and putting the guy in his place. It was amazing.

I want some more FU runs for the little hoedown the Giants put on in their dugout last night. And it seems like the Royals do too.

So, the Giants pretty much have to start Bumgarner tomorrow right?

Bochy was saying today that Bumgarner had about 40 pitches in him

Last pitcher to start a WS game on two days' of rest: Mickey Lolich, 1968, Game 7. Complete game, beat some guy named Gibson.

Lolich was amazing in that series

Stop with the fake parallels! If the winning run just scored to make it 9-0, this game is going to get all whacky from here.

They're trying to keep the audience

And they should start him. Have him start with the 40 pitches and keep him in until he looks like he is going to lose it.

Rather than bring him down two runs to stop the bleeding.

They could have spent 15 minutes discussing how Posey likely could have kept the 9th run from scoring by blocking the plate, but the new rule forbids it.
