ESPN guys, got to love them. Pretending they didn't read Woj's tweet and know Looney was picked 3 minutes ago.

Looney is a great fit for Golden State
Yeah, Givony says he was told he has degenerative issues in his back as well as the hip problem and that is why a lot of teams took him off the board, many think he;ll need surgery at some point down the line.

Well they did do an entire piece on how Tyus Jones can help LeBron and the Cavs about 15 minutes after Wojo tweeted that he was going to Minny.

Anyone who gives two fucks about this night is following on Twitter.  The WWL should know this and adjust by running the twitter feed on their crawl or having someone reading them in real time.  Doing otherwise is denial of sorts..

My bet for 33 is Harrell. So far I have missed on every guess. My auxiliary guess is Guillermo at 33.

I watched Hunter a lot at Georgia State in person. Kid has insane range and plays with a lot of toughness and is surprisingly solid as a defender. I love getting him late in the first round.

I'll never understand some aspects of the NBA draft.  I would think Cleveland needs bodies, yet they pick a stash kid.  Would think they would have prefered a kid Like Harrell who could have at least been something of a depth player for them

Hunter looks pretty strong to me, yeah. His excellent free throw rate offsets most of the concerns about his low 3PT% this year, making me suspect it was just a question of having to take shots at the end of the clock.

Guess we finally got the rim protector?
Maybe. He's not ideal NBA size, and he needs a lot of work on basically every aspect of his game. I'd expect him not to play at all next year, probably end up in the D-League wire to wire.

Did an ESPN talking head call him this? Mickey is a 6-7/6-8 undersized PF who uses his timing to block shots....he isn't a traditional rim protector though.

Inside Lou Gorman's Head
ESPN Best Available:

Joseph Young, SG, Oregon
Dakari Johnson, C, Kentucky
Olivier Hanlan, SG, BC
Christian Wood, PF, UNLV
Luka Mitrovic, SF, Serbia
Cliff Alexander, PF, Kansas
Andrew Harrison, PG, Kentucky
Vince Hunter, SF, UTEP
Arturas Gudaitis, C, Lithuania
Jonathan Holmes, SF, Texas

It's a crapshoot at this point, but I'll update until the C's are on the clock.

He's got some Josh Smith type of potential (as a shot blocker only), same height, little longer arms but an inch or two less in vertical. It's possible he could end up a good shot blocker, but it's a stretch.

I can't link twitter, but Bobby Portis shit all over Derrick Rose and the Bulls, oops.

He was 16 and rooting for the Heat, the Nance one is way worse IMO:

I'm betting Upshaw at 45. And so far I have missed every single guess, so obviously it won't be Upshaw.

I'd be happy with him or Wood. Might also be getting close to the time you think about Upshaw.
They might go Euro stash though, really short on roster space.

Nooo
It feels like all the guys I like in this draft are ending up in NYC.
