Diaz got one for dissent after he’d been hacked, the Newcastle defender wipes out an attacker and remonstrates without a problem.

I asked earlier when the last time Gakpo looked dangerous, and he managed to score a goal and still not look dangerous.

Anthony Gordon showing what a fucking knob he is by pointing his goalkeeper the wrong way as if he somehow knows something.

Nor were the two comfortable strides. That was a bad call.
Yep, once he realized that his angle would be really tough, he took the easy way out. But that play shows how players make it so difficult to ref. It wasn’t a clear dive but playing on live is a tough call to make too.

The pass to set it up by Macalister was sublime.

I'm going to blame it on terrible reffing at the youth level polluting my brain. I spend too many hours watching terrible calls so it's basically broken me. hahaha.

Watched the world feed highlights of Liverpool-Newcastle with Martin Tyler on commentary. He was not excited.

Wonder if Brighton goes to war with Japan over Mitoma being called up to Asian Cup.

Brighton's movement vs Hammers is so smooth!

Mitoma is so important for Japan’s hopes, I can see their motivation. Maybe Mitoma can get back under 4 weeks and be ready for some run in knock out rounds?

But yeah, massive risk. If Mitoma ends up more seriously injuring himself or even just lengthening his recovery…that’s a bad, bad mess for both club and country.

As befits the "festive period," this Hammers-Seagulls tilt has been el-snoozo. 0-0 dull fest, now grinding to a halt in stoppage time.

Highlights? Try a whole game of Tyler. Everytime Newcastle got the ball his excitement level heightened noticeably. The co-commentator (don’t remember his name) was just as bad. I rejoiced when Tyler announced his “retirement” (I think he was fired ) but he’s still turning up to annoy Reds fans.

I think it was Andy Townsend, former Chelsea man. Very anti-red commentary

I'm visiting my family in UK at the moment so we had Peter Drury and Gary Neville. Even Neville was impressed with the Liverpool.

You guys made watching your team win 4-2 against a rival sound like a torturous experience.

New year, same old Girona. Could have scored 40 seconds in against Atletico Madrid. Did score a minute later.

Atleti tied it up only for Girona to take the lead again.

Savio is the real deal.
