If the Mets lose, does Terry Collins lose his job? Between the Harvey thing and Cespedes, both are huge non-moves in this game. Or is that too extreme?
Too extreme.

Collins isn't exactly Bill Belichick or anything, but the Mets did reach the World Series after having no offense for half the year and enduring that whole Carlos Gomez/Wilmer Flores fiasco.  It's been a very successful year for the Mets, who substantially exceeded expectations before this week.  Collins earns at least some credit for that.

Very much doubt he loses his job. He may need to go on suicide watch for letting Harvey change his mind for him. In the dugout shots, Collins looks like he's about to vomit.

They can choose not to pick up his option. I would seriously consider it because the Mets are the Royals a year ago.

I don't love him, but to be honest I think they can do a lot worse

If the Royals win, is this guy presenting the trophy? I'll stay up all night for that

Sorry Joe.  Between football, The Walking Dead and whatever kids are looking at on the 'Gram and Snapchat, only us diehards and old fogeys are watching this game on TV.

Oh my god, Harold Reynolds.  You might be making me hate baseball.

"This 2-1 is the pitch of the at bat to me.  It's either gonna be 3-1, 2-2, an out, or a hit."

I wish I could drink on the job, too.

Why do I keep reading articles that Manning is finished?
Up until tonight, he's been terrible and his D has carried him. Tonight he looked revived. We'll see.
