What it says to me is that SF's pitching is as advertised while their weak hitting is too. For the Sox its less clear if the low scoring games are a function of their pitching too or the fact that the Giants are trying to win baseball games with a middling line-up.

The Giants have very good pitching - not the best - but very solid all the way around. Its the reason they are even sniffing contention.

Its ok to acknowledge when the competition is good and its not just all doom & gloom.
