Game 105
The Sox had a ninth inning comeback which
cheered us up greatly till there was a glitch:
It was all rendered moot after one pitch,
causing a collective “sonuvabitch!”
(My guess is that Kenley gripped the wrong stitch.)
Games don’t always go off without a hitch.
If we could predict them, we’d all be rich.
This one left us bummed, but we’d never ditch
the Sox. (The other teams seem kinda kitsch.)
The race is tight. It’s time to flip the switch.
Go all out til we grab the Golden Snitch.
Don’t let our momentum freeze like poor Mitch.

ITP, win the series indeed!

Game threads are unforgiving as any reasonable person would have been happy with a split against Atl or win 2/3 on the road. I just wanted the Sox to win enough leading up to the weekend to force Chaim to buy. I feel this was accomplished, in spades.

My feeling is today must be Pivetta day. Get one more huge effort before selling high on a guy I actually like despite his underlying numbers.

Damn, it seems like the Giants have had a zillion chances to bust open innings in this series and just can't do it
