So the last play made it really obvious, but there are others this year and last.....

Russ doesn't go through his progressions. He picks a guy pre-snap, if that guy isn't open it's checkdown or scramble. He's Sam Bradford with wheels.
I feel like he's been that way for a long time now.

The broncos hitched their wagon to him though so, yeah good luck with that.

I took my dog for a walk for about an hour. I knew the game got to 12-9 in OT. I watched from the 4th when Broncos had the ball up 9-6. I kept waiting for the missed FG, the. I was like “he’s really going to miss from this close? Must be a fumble”. Ended up being a riveting end of game and Sherman losing his mind was nice.

Maybe it's crazy to say about a 2-3 first-year coach of a team who hasn't made the playoffs the last six years, but Hackett has to go. Russ is obviously in decline but he's done nothing to mitigate it (his playcalling makes Zac Taylor look like Lombardi) and he's beyond overmatched in his decision making. Going for it on 4th and 2 was a horrendous call (he's lucky it worked out) and calling a pass on 3rd and 4 when they'd have to go the length of the field in under two minutes with no TO if he just ran the ball (and it's a distance they could've converted running) is mind-boggling. Combine that with his decision in Seattle and I really don't know how he comes back from this. Nepotism is a hell of a drug.

I can't believe Matty Ice gets to pad his career clutch time stats with a game-tying and a game-winning drive in the last two minutes + OT.

Seriously, I can't believe Ryan looks this bad in Indianapolis. I really, really thought he was going to thrive away from the Falcons, even though historically, it's usually taken him until his second season to really get used to a new offensive coordinator and a new playbook. But his (lack of) arm strength and (lack of) quick decision-making in the pocket were truly, deeply terrible last night. Sign me up for the Mariota/Ridder combo over the Watson and Ryan options Atlanta pondered coming into this season.

AND RYAN WAS (arguably) THE BETTER QUARTERBACK IN THAT GAME! I'm off to visit the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind medics to get that game erased from my memory.

In a year, we have gone from "Let Russ Cook!" to "Is Russ Cooked?" And I think the answer is yes. (Matty Ice, too.)
His complete flop so far is my biggest pre-season prediction whiff this year. I really thought he was going to be the missing piece/catalyst for a Denver team that was otherwise ready to contend. He really does look shot.

This isn't the 2016 Ryan and Wilson replacing them. I think both of these QB will disappoint leading to mediocre 8-9 win teams

2021 Russ 14g 7.11 ANY/A 64.8% Comp 25TD 6 INT
2021 Teddy 14g 6.32 ANY/A 66.9% Comp 18TD 7 INT

2021 Matty 17g 5.92 ANY/A 67.0% Comp 20TD 12 INT
2021 Wentzy 17g 6.50 ANY/A 62.4% Comp 17TC 7 INT
Just gonna leave this here :)

Ryan may or may not be completely done but him with a bad o-line is really poor combination. He's not mobile and he takes a lot of bad sacks even when he has a good offense.

The trade, all those picks, and that guaranteed contract all look pretty bad right now. Whether or not Seattle gets a QB doesn't really matter relative to everything Denver's given up.

It's not that Russ is officially washed. Maybe he can turn it around. The problem is that his teammates already hate him and it's October 8th. And the team is stuck with Russ.

if teammates hate him we are not going to hear it utill they leave denver or football

manning was 2-3 in his first 5 games as well and down 24-0 to SD in game six then he led a massive comeback that led to 2 years of great football

and let's say denver turns into the vikings from 89 those vikings make the playoffs in 92-94 under a new coach

this denver season might be shot because this was the 'easy' part of denver sch now with their best RB OL num 2 CB num 3 WR all out for the season this is almost a carbon copy of the 2009 team without the 6-0 start

Maybe I missed it - what’s the evidence that his teammates hate him?

The NFL needs to get rid of the spot foul on DPI. It's ridiculous that an offense can gain 35+ yards on a ticky-tack call just by throwing up a Flacco.

Sanchize defending the QB as he throws a terrible ball 3 yards behind a wide open receiver who might have scored with a half-decent throw.

YouTube TV on my Shield refuses to play this game. Guess I’m using my phone.

I mostly agree. There needs to be two types of dpi. Standard=15yards or whatever, and egregious = spot foul.

More subjectivity for officials is probably a bad idea.
It’s already subjective though. You could add some guidelines, like if the receiver is brought to the ground prior to the ball arriving.

I’d also be fine just making it always 15 yards and a first down. Having penalties over 30 yards is silly in the modern NFL.

You’re adding another layer of subjectivity to it. First is the PI or not decision, then some kind of egregious or not decision. It’s putting a lot on the officials, which is not ideal.

I’d be all for using the college rule. 15 yards or. Spot foul for throws less than 15.

The only thing these London games tell me is that the NFL is dumb not to have at least one game a week on in the morning. It’s football I wouldn’t otherwise be watching and I can’t imagine I’m alone.

SSS, but Daniel Jones actually looks like an NFL quarterback on this drive
