Yeah the implausible part of that is the idea of HOU beating a wildcard team.
Despite looking crappy at times, Houston has managed to go 7-1 at home this season. They couldn't beat Matt Moore or Matt McGloin at home this year?

Jay Cutler: injured, replaced by Matt Barkley. Tannehill / Carr / Mariota: Matts Moore, McGloin, Cassel. NFL QB? Backup named Matt? Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Vikings DBs admit that they disregarded the game plan regarding how they would play Jordy Nelson, and did their own thing, and were then torched by Nelson.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/24/vikings-dbs-defied-zimmer-ignored-plan-for-covering-jordy-nelson/

Packers receiver Jordy Nelson had a huge first half against the Vikings today, catching seven passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns before halftime. And he did it against a Minnesota secondary that was defying the orders of head coach Mike Zimmer to have cornerback Xavier Rhodes shadow Nelson.

At halftime, Zimmer ordered the players to go back to the game plan of Rhodes shadowing Nelson, and it worked: Nelson managed just two catches for nine yards in the second half. But the damage was done in the first half. After the game, Zimmer acknowledged that the players hadn’t followed the game plan until he told them they had to at halftime.

How does a coaching staff allow the players to ignore their gameplan?
This happens to a lesser degree in all sports. Player running through the stop sign at 3rd or ignoring a bunt/take sign in baseball, breaking off a play and looking for own shot in basketball. I've never heard of a group of players agreeing to ignore the coaching staffs game plan though. What could the staff do.....bench the entire secondary and play special teams guys back there? Such a weird situation.

Broncos will be short staffed today

“@AdamSchefter: Broncos will be missing S T.J. Ward, LB Brandon Marshall, TE’s Virgil Green and A.J. Derby tonight vs KC.

Chiefs missing LB Justin Houston.”

Th other three look like they've just seen a girl they want to impress. Roethlisberger looks like he just saw his next target.

how did Ward suddenly get hurt enough to be out? He was flexing just fine at the end of last week.

Reid can always Reid but Denver looks ready to pack it in.

A 3rd string rookie QB who wasn't even close to NFL ready?
A third string QB who had a broken thumb? Talk about playing handicapped. In retrospect, the Pats had no chance that game. In addition, there was no Gronk and the weather was terrible. Add it all together,, and if the Bills did not win the game I would have been surprised.

Are you talking about week 4 this year? Wasn't the weather fine that day? I went and don't remember it being anything bad at all.

My memory is probably foggy but I remember it being rainy. I will defintely defer to you since you were at the game. My larger point stands. There were many reasons that the Pats lost the game. . Brissett was injured, no Gronk, no Lewis in the backfield. Finally we had the official introduction of Cyrus Jones returning punts. Easily understandable why the good guys lost.

Patriots-Dolphins game on Jan. 1 will move to 4:25 p.m. ET unless both the Steelers and Chiefs win today. If Steelers and Chiefs win, the Patriots-Dolphins game stays at 1.

Classic Flacco. Can't make a play so he bombs it into coverage to try and draw the PI

Who the heck are these announcers? Dungy? Shazier literally went in head first and hit helmet to helmet only. At least Mosley earlier kinda got his chest during his personal foul.

Arrived at wife's aunt's house for Christmas dinner, no NFL network. All men now huddled around an iPhone watching the game. And they are serving boxed wine. Wtf?

Pittsburgh is not that good. They can be elite at their best but they are mediocre more often than not.

If the Steelers are the team that is supposed to knock off the Pats in the AFC, then the Pats will be going to the Super Bowl. The Steelers look like hot garbage.
