An obviously injured Tom Savage was forced to stay in the game because the Texans don't have a third quarterback active. Predictably, he threw an interception.

“@TroyRenck: #Broncos Manning playing with flu-like symptoms…. Bears watching how effective can be. Figured would pass more. Not certain now.”

What if he just punched the ball forward?

illegal batting, penalty in the end zone, safety.

And the ball goes back to the spot of the fumble anyway.

I think Seattle is going to be the Vegas favorite in all of their remaining games (assuming they do not lose).  Doesn't that make them the favorite?

Pats will still be the favorites, but Seattle should jump clearly into the second spot if they win now (which they should).

Only if they are at home for all of those.  NO CHANCE they are favored in Green Bay

If Seattle wins out this year, they will be the 1 seed.

Seattle still has very tough games against the Rams and Arizona.

If Arizona scores more than 6 points on offense against Seattle, I will be surprised. I'd give decent odds for Seattle's D to outscore Arizona's O.

Thanks Peyton!  2nd and goal at the 1 and the Broncos are gashing the Chargers on the ground and it's time to get Peyton some stats.

that was more pre-snap movement than I've ever seen in SF/SEA

I don't get that ruling
If you remember the Holy Roller Fumble Play from the 1970s when Ken Stabler of the Raiders fumbled the ball as he was getting sacked and Dave Casper recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown on the last play of the game to beat the Chargers, then you would understand the wisdom of the rule. Plus, as Ed mentions, it would have been a safety anyway.

The fumble-recovered-by-another-player rule would make sense if the ball could be advanced no further than the original line of scrimmage.
