Holy shit. AMAZING catch by Dangerfield for WKU. It's 66-65 in OT, and it looks like they're going for 2 and the win.

Time out, Marshall.

Too bad.  I'm generally a huge fan of the underdog, but I was really hoping Marshall would finish this off.  Oh well.  Great game.

Yeah.  Why didn't ASU use their final timeout there after the 3rd down play?  Would have gotten the ball back with like time to run 2 plays.  Was I imagining that they had a timeout left?  I thought it was pretty clear on the screen display.

Air Force & Colorado St tied 24-24 with :15 left, and the USAF just got to the CSU 25. Big upset brewing in the battle for the Ram-Falcon trophy.

EDIT - Off it goes into the wild blue yonder... and the kick is GOOD! Falcons win it.

Poor Hambone.
When it was clear Stanford was going to win, there was no good scenario for ASU.

Win today, lose next week and get jumped in bowls.

Lose today. It sucks, but UofA aint beating Oregon again so will be similarly jumped.

I left during the last knee so will need to watch the end to see. Thought they had a timeout when I left tho.

The QB for Navy, Keenan Reynolds had 100 yards rushing and 3 td's today (he had 6 last week).  That gave him 20 touchdowns rushing on the season (he missed some time with an injury).  He had 31 last year, which was an FBS record.  Today, he broke the FBS record for rushing touchdowns in a career by a QB with 61.  The previous record was 59 held by Eric Crouch and Colin Kaepernick.  Crouch did it in 42 games, while Kaepernick did it in 51 games.

Reynolds did it in only 34 games, because he is a Junior.  He should break the all division record next year, which is 72, held by Shawn Graves of DII Wofford (who I believe is FCS now), and probably break it by a lot.

VT- UVA game.    targeting call.

Just bizarre.   Punt return.   Player one wraps up the tackle and is bringing the player down.  Player 2 come in head up towards the play, and looks like he  attempts to pull off at the last second leading to what could at best be described as a glancing blow, where maybe the facemask scrapes the top of the helmet as the player goes by.  barely any contact at all.   Player is ejected from the game.

Absurd rule and application of rule

I didn't like the ejection but the 15 yarder seemed legit. Runner was tied up and the second tackler hit the runner in the head with the crown of the helmet

Either way, refs gave it right back to the Hokies with a no call on an obvious grounding

Wow, rough few weeks for the University of Sexual Assault.  Can the Cavs pull this out?  They scored a td with 2:55 left in the game to take a 3 point lead, and then proceed to give up a THREE play, 75 yard drive to Tech, which took 1:07, and now the Cavs are at about the 45 of Tech with 26 seconds to go.

Tech with a huge sack to force UVA to use their last timeout.  I missed it, but why is the backup QB in for Virginia?  Lambert get hurt?

Oh, UVA had another timeout.  They just got 18 yards.  It's fourth down and about 6 I would guess.  They are around the Tech 30.

Ahahaha...Horrible play call.  With 12 seconds left, they roll the backup QB out of the pocket, and he can't even get a throw off.  WTF were they doing.  Run something that gets you about 10-15 yards, get the first down, line up and run one play with a shot to the end zone.  It looked like they were trying to set up a Hail Mary.  Dumb, dumb, dumb..

I don't like the Hokies, but I now feel about Virginia the way I do about Penn State football, so good result by me.

Mike London is 1-14 against VT, UNC, and Duke (UVA's three biggest rivals) and they decided to keep him.  Keep on Caving, Cavs.

Maybe it was the backup QB issue.
UVa loses its aggressiveness away from Rugby Road. F that program. So many resources. Every other sport there seems to do well, but they can't figure out FB.

VT with a weird year for sure, at least, helps OSU hang on to some hope.

The stat is telling (and pathetic), but Duke is most definitely not considered a rival by uva fans.

It used to be that UVA was just getting out-recruited in state by Beamer, but VA Tech has faded. Now it's just a simple matter of having a very lousy coach

They have terrific coaches in their other sports, notably Men's bball, Women's soccer and field hockey, why are they stuck on London?  You guys used to say the same thing re: Groh, no?

Baseball too.

I don't get it re London. Uva has been bad at football for so long that it's not an attractive destination, I guess. Still, lot of talent in VA and with VA Tech no longer a power and a weak acc overall, it seems like a good opportunity to win down there.

They are retaining London, I assume, bc he has recruited well and did get a few good wins this year (notably Louisville), but he's a bad coach.

Right on cue, joe va tech arrives. Didn't say a peep all game bc the Hokies are so bad you knew they might lose to the uva team you shit on at every turn in these threads.
Aww. Did poor little hoo get his feelings hurt? Perhaps I didn't say a peep all game because I was, you know, watching the game? And did I miss all of your peeps?
I mean I don't think I ever claimed that this wasn't an awful team this year. And yet 11 years and counting...
It's okay though. You had a lead this year. You can hang your hat on that at least.

Typical hokie. When all you've got is football, you have to chirp about it.

I bet if you work on it, you can learn to type AND watch the game at one time.

I'm sorry, I thought this was the weekly college football game thread. Would you like to talk about things other than college football?

2nd play of the game, Michgan's QB throws a perfect pass to a wide open Ohio State defender. 7-0 already, gonna be a lot of Buckeye points in this one.

Man Braxton Miller is gonna light it up in the FCS next year.
He said he's going back to OSU, presumably to play running back (a position some NFL scouts have said is a better fit)

If he did want to play q somewhere else, he would not need to go FCS. Since he will have his degree, he can transfer to a 1A school without sitting out a yr so long as it has a grad program not found at Ohio st.

Wow, I think this is an absolutely horrible miss by the officials in the Georgia/Tech game.  Tech is going in for a score on a QB keeper.  I thought the QB got into the end zone.  No whistle, he got stopped, forward progress was definitely stopped, and then all of a sudden, a Georgia player ripped the ball out and took the ball back 99 yards for a TD.  I'm not positive he scored a TD, but I'm positive his forward progress was stopped and the whistle should have blown.  And once again, the lack of a camera angle at the goal line fucks a team.

I thought he was a year away from his degree, n/m then.
