Rich posted on facebook that there is going to be a "huge announcement" on Monday regarding the show.

Pretty sure they're not going anywhere, doubt they're syndicating, can't imagine they're adding anyone to the already pretty full regular on-air crew of Fred, Rich, Crash, and Wallach, so I'm pretty intrigued by this big announcement as I have no earthly idea what it might be.

Crash leaving perhaps? Sad, if true, but that seems like the most likely reason.

He's been worried about his job for awhile now so he may have found another job somewhere else in the country. More than likely they are going to announce which Red Sox player is going to be on their show every week, probably Pedroia.

I will bet $100 that the announcement is the Adolfo has a girlfriend.

I didn't even see that, that'll be a pretty big letdown if that's the announcement. I mean they found a girlfriend for Gary The Retard on Stern right? The idea of a young woman pretending to be sexually aroused in the presence of a naked Adolfo is funny to think about but this bit has been done too many times to make it a bigtime show announcement, in my humble opinion.

By the way, here's Adolfo's main squeeze:

I cannot even begin to imagine how frightening their children would look.

I think the one difference is that Adolfo did this by himself, and sounds like he kept the show in the dark about it.

It all depends on how they play it tomorrow, if this is the announcement.

Well they had a fit on the show when someone made a comparison, but he's basically a funnier version of the faster guy. Just google, there's a chili guy soundboard out there I occasionally use to call my friends at work and play chili guy quotes to them

If you're from Boston and you didn't know who the Chili Guy was BEFORE Toucher and Rich had a show in this market... I don't even know what to tell you.

It's not even a comparison. The Chili Guy is light years funnier than the faster guy. He basically has his own language.

He's just a homeless guy they found on one of the first drunken red sox recaps right when they started in the afternoons on WBCN. His line was "Couple of beers, no beers...chili", and henceforth was known as the Chili Guy.

He's pretty delusional, nonsensical, and I think his consciousness is stuck in 1989. I wish there were old podcasts of the original audio bits they did (not all the produced ones) on the air, because was some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard.

Actually, PM me if you want. I might have some podcasts on my computer that has it.

That dude has been a Kenmore Sq staple for years and years and then he did legit disappear for like a year. That dude used to hang out in Kenmore down by where we sell shirts by Sovreign Bank/McDonalds and then last season he was nowhere to be found.

To draw a comparison, if Faster Guy is Josh Beckett, Chili Guy is Pedro Martinez.

If Pedro was brought up ON RACKATEERING CHAHGEZ

It'll be very interesting to hear where he has been. I worked at Downtown Crossing this summer and saw him pretty much every day by the station from late May through mid June and then he was just gone. It was also weird because in the days leading up to when he just disappeared someone finally cut that rat's nest of hair he had and he was getting picked up on an almost daily basis by a grey Crown Vic that I assumed was an unmarked police cruiser.

Survey says: JAIL.

Riveting stuff with Chili Guy today. Too bad they milked the crap out of it for maybe 10 mins of radio. Such is the nature of the beast I guess.

In there
I'll be disappointed if "Blood Naked Movie" isn't the title of, at the very least, some local indie flick in the next year or two.

Finally heard the Chili Guy audio and what I saw last summer makes perfect sense now. He was hanging around the Downtown Crossing T stop a lot and pretty much every day for like three weeks straight that cruiser would come by and he would yell at the guy driving it whenever it would come by. I'm disappointed I must've missed the eventual altercation!

I have to agree with Rich that if Adolfo had beaten Wallach in the Wonderlick it would have been one of the great radio moments ever.

Alas, a 7.

Classic stuff with Shawn Thornton this morning. After he said he couldn't really talk about fighting, they substituted grilled cheese for fighting and it went from there...if you listen to the podcast I believe it was in the middle of hour 3 or so.

Does anyone else think some contract news may be coming from these guys soon? The few minutes I heard this morning, Fred was talking about buying a house in the area. I doubt he'd be looking to buy one in the last year of his contract if they hadn't signed a new deal or had some assurances that they'll be sticking around for a while.

Heard it online too... he gets so pissed about constantly being ragged on by T&R (even though that was directed at Zolak).

Just a heads up, tomorrow Toucher and Rich will be "interviewing" the young lady that released all the tiger texts, Jocelyn James. Should make for an interesting convo.

Not sure what time she will be on.

they had gilbert godfried on this AM and that was one of the more painful segments i've ever heard. Not necessarily because T+R did anything wrong, but my god did gilbert sound so...old. Not that Gilbert was ever the pinnacle of comedy, but hearing him sound like such an old guy was for some reason really tough to handle. I can't imagine seeing him live

What is T&R's take on this? Will they kill her for being a publicity whore (if not an actual whore), or will they be kind to her and dig for juicier information.

If I had to guess, I'm gonna say they will be nice and ask her a lot of questions trying to get as much juicy info as possible.

They'll be nice so they can potentially score later. Actually after reading tigers transcript, they'll be mean so they can potentially score later.

I've only hear about half the interview so far but I think they've done a pretty good job. They've challenged her on her attorney-speak type answers and have also pointed out that she is not 100% innocent in this mess either. I think they've done a very good job, especially when part of me thought they were just going to have Adolfo do the whole interview.

Edit: And with that Rich can't take anymore and calls her a whore. Overall it was a lot better than I expected and they pushed her way more than I thought they would.
