I'd rather see the Red Sox get no hit than lose 1-0 on one hit if I were at the game. It's more entertaining and historical. My answer would change if the opponent were the Yankees.
Five years ago... When John F. Hirschbeck screwed up 16 calls in 9 innings in favor of the Cubs, and they still lost to the Indians 1-0.
Great job by Braves staff but in reporting the story I think ESPN is forgetting Jim Lonborg taking a no hitter into the 8th. They are saying this was the 3rd longest no-hit bid by a starter in post season history. It's at least 4th.
Do you know that old saying that it's good to be in first place on the Fourth of July? Well, the Braves were under .500 after the Fourth of July games.
Wasn't it Bob Ryan who wrote in the Glob that it was a shame that Everett or someone like that broke up the Mussina no-hitter at Fenway? I've hated that guy ever since.
I was at Lonborg's 1-hitter in '67, sitting in right-center, and coincidently saw Ian Anderson in November 1969. I thought he sucked, he should have been pulled after the 5th song. IMO the '21 Braves are better than the '69 Jethro Tulls.

"I yelled, 'I got it! I got it!'" Rosario recounted in Spanish. "But at the end I hesitated when he didn't hear me. And so in order to avoid a collision, I stopped."
