He just kept pitching away off the far side of the plate.Massive squander.
Lurch isn't that fast. Why not try to steal home when he starts his ridiculous windup?
View: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=a1sf2CzEq0wRosario is ridiculous. There's no way that pitch should have ended up a base hit. It's like reverse physics or something.
Pretty wild how this decision, in game 3 is so critical to the direction of the whole series. He's only thrown 39 strikes out of 76 pitches. He was sort of living on the edge already.
76 pitches thru 5 innings ... he wasn't going 9Yeah, I'm an old man yelling at a cloud, but modern baseball is much less fun. Let the kid try to luck into the second World Series no hitter in history.
Maybe. He could get some quick outs and finish in 120 pitches. He has 5 months to rest afterwards.76 pitches thru 5 innings ... he wasn't going 9
They need him to start another game in this Series ... which is a helluva lot more important that trying for some historical oddityMaybe. He could get some quick outs and finish in 120 pitches. He has 5 months to rest afterwards.
I know who Johnny Vander Meer is, but I have no clue who he pitched for. Being a historical oddity is pretty cool. But I say that as a fan of a team that has four World Series wins in the last 17 years. They need him to start another game in this Series ... which is a helluva lot more important that trying for some historical oddity
Unless you have no soul. That can’t feel good in 50 degree chill.
