As an interesting way to get folks to try this out -- for everyone who installs and opens up this app today, I will (personally, non-sosh) donate $1 to our Marathon Charity drive, up to $500.  It has google analytics embedded in it, so I'll just tabulate the numbers from that.

Kicked off the download to my Android phone a few minutes ago. Mobile connection at the office sucks and it'll take a while but at least it's going. I'll then be downloading it to my tablet when I get home tonight.

No, two of screenshots are just placeholders. (Apple requires a certain number of screenshots at particular resolutions before an app can be approved.)

That would be the one helpful tweak I've seen so far - be able to see a thread on the Latest tab and remove it from that list w/o reading it, or preventing it from showing up there with two clicks.

I've got a small complaint about the <go to latest post> behavior. On the Iphone app, it seems to sync to the wrong post most of the time, and I need to scroll up 2 or 3 posts to get back to where the first real new post is. I noticed this when I was following the NFL draft game threads. 
Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm a little late to this party but...

Did a SoSH member write this app? If so, is it a PhoneGap app? It absolutely screams on my phone. Faster than Chrome on both my phone and my laptop.

It's written by the Tapatalk folks, just rebranded for SOSH. Nip did the legwork on that, but no not written by a SOSHer if memory serves.

Try tapping a post to reply to it and/or using the menu button to reply without quoting? Post a new topic is probably the menu button, too (not sure).

This app is pretty awesome.  If it is ever updated here are a couple of issues I've noticed on iOS running 6.x:
 

• GIF's don't animate when clicked on in a thread.
• Trying to save an image to the camera roll doesn't work. It will act like it saved but it doesn't.
• Embedded quotes from twitter do not show, only a link to the twitter account.

I've had issues with the sosh app starting for the past couple of days. I get the blue screen with the sosh logo then it hangs. I had to go back to tapatalk for now. Thought it may have had something to do with install of adblock plus for android (which forces you to proxy everything through localhost port 2020), but I disabled it and am still having issues. Will have to try completely removing ABP to see if it resolves the issue.
 
Edit: Changed my WiFi settings to bypass the proxy for sonsofsamhorn.net and now the app is working fine again.

Spoke too soon.  Turns out I had started the app with the proxy completely removed and the app was still running when I added the proxy back in with the rule to bypass the proxy for sonsofsamhorn.net.  I'm back to the app hanging at the startup screen with the SoSH logo. Is there another URL/domain that the SoSH app hits first that I would need to have the proxy bypass in order to get the app to function while Adblock Plus for Android is running? Something related to tapatalk perhaps?

I updated the Android version of SoSHApp this morning.  It does remove support for really older versions of Android.  Not sure of any new features yet, I just got it up there then the kids woke up....
