It won't be close to this order, but something like:

Volpe SS
Judge RF
Gleyber 2B
Dominguez CF
LeMahieu 1B
Stanton DH
Wells C
Pereira LF
Peraza 3B
Be nice when the Pereira-Peraza duo starts to hit more than their weight. September can be really valuable to their growth. Just settle down, do your prep work, and play baseball. Here is your chance. You got a whole month.

Pereira was barely in AAA, he is definitely going to need some time if he is going to blossom. Peraza I'm hoping NY didn't screw up with the way they've mishandled him the last couple of years, but hopefully he can get into a groove again sometime in September.

You could flip Volpe and Dominguez in that lineup, but then you'd have five straight righties from 2-6.

So Judge is 10 inches taller than Dominguez. Yogi was the shortest Yankee slugger. 5-foot-8 and 190 in his prime.. Dominguez is impressive in his own right, a thick man (5-9, 190) who can run. Volpe’s listed at 5-foot-9. Another short guy.

This feels like first day of the next era. First day of the month. The last era fell apart pretty fast. Who can be salvaged? Maybe DJ and Rizzo. What to do about Stanton?

Wells hitting 7th. Houston probably has scouting film on both Yankee newcomers but Verlander doesn’t care. Future Hall of Famer vs. Aaron Judge and the Judgettes.

“ Jasson Dominguez is now the #Yankees’ starting center fielder, Aaron Boone said. Austin Wells is also going to play “a lot” behind the plate.

“I think everyone's excited to see them go play.””

First swing ever in MLB, opposite field HR off Verlander. That works.

Wells has the mustache of a much older guy; possibly inherited from a grandpa. Baby Yankees are adorable like puppies

After Stanton drills a hanger down the line and long gone, Dominguez jumps on first pitch and lines out to left, 102 off the bat.

Even Verlander can be mortal on occasion.

Stanton’s next HR will be #400, hopefully it’s an epic one like last night.

Washington
Judge, DJ, Stanton and six kids, fun!!
You know, it sucks that they aren't making the playoffs this year, but it really is fun to watch the kids plus and the a few veterans.

Maybe even a little more fun than limping to a playoff spot, being doomed to an early exit, and with half the roster filled with guys I don't give a shit about. It's a weird feeling.

Yanks are playing like a team again. They went through hell this season. Nice to see them having fun again, blending in the kids. Brito and Vasquez are an interesting pair of arms who have done well this season.

2-0 with Austin Wells catching, that is a bit exciting.

Also a rare treat to see an actual OF in LF for NY this year since Pereira took over, he’s made a few nice catches this series.

Just watching Pereira’s game-winning single to center again. Dominguez comes flying around third, cutting the inside of the bag. Scores without a throw.

Dominguez hit a rocket to deep center in his second look at Javier, then homered down the RF line next time up.

He’s also had some bad luck outs. I think we’re looking at 30-40 HR power here if he hits to his potential.

Javier threw him two straight off-speed pitches and the second one landed in the stands.
That doesn’t really disprove my point. He notably struggled with offspeed in the minors. Doesn’t mean he can’t hit them. But tonight was obviously an encouraging sign. I’m very bullish on his potential.

Eddie Perez just talked about Dominguez making adjustments during the game. Dusty had said beforehand they know Jasson can hit heat so let’s see if he can handle soft stuff. That was your point, too. One home run doesn’t mean he can hit off-speed but if you double up on 80 mph sliders, probably not a good idea to any hitter.

Some hitters you can get away with it. Jasson profiles as a hitter who’ll make you pay. Will be interesting to see if he takes walks at MLB level.

Dominguez is so exciting but, um, Austin Wells with a perfect throw on the first SB attempt ever against him, Cone said a 1.90-1.95 pop time!

Him catching all 27 innings this series like he did is so huge for this franchise, no one has ever doubted his bat.

NY needs to go 21-4 from here to get to 89-73 and maybe sneak in. Even that would probably be less than 50/50 but they’re not quite completely dead yet, next up 3 at home against DET again.

No one is better at saving his own job than Cashman. At the 2016 deadline, he essentially convinced Hal to let him succeed himself, with a major pivot towards kids. He may have just done that again, this time by having the kids already ready to go or close.

That has to be one of the youngest 3 through 9 lineups in MLB history.
