Looks like something I would write up when the boss says “hey can you do the minutes this week?” after the weekly staff meeting has concluded.Kudos to whoever wrote the summary for today’s show!

Gotta admire his moxie, actually putting it in writingThat’s all Nick I believe.
Fred’s just a different person. Between that, a couple weeks ago saying he’s been naked around his son, and today saying it wouldn’t be a bad thing if his son took a line drive off his head because “it’s a great experience being on the field with the all stars”, he’s coming unhingedFred letting his dog shit on the area between the sidewalk and road and not feeling like he has to pick it up is the least surprising thing ever. "It's not their yard!" yeah I gotta mow that area. He "dry heaves" when he has to pick it up. Yeah it's gross at times and who enjoys picking up poop, but people who leave it are the worst. Even Rich said he was awful, which was surprising.
Imagine if every owner didn't pick up their dog's crap everywhere like Fred doesn't. It'd be disgusting.
He doubled down on that today. Awkward radio.Fred’s just a different person. He’s always been fine with playing the contrarian but it’s getting out of hand nowHe doubled down on that today. Awkward radio.
That’d be great. But after the past year it would probably kill Rich.Every 5 years or so they should bring back 98 mile during the dregs of summer. Ryan Johnston and Joe Murray gotta have a few bars in them.
Yeah, maybe next year. That’d be great. But after the past year it would probably kill Rich.
It’s a time killer for sure, but Fred poses an opinion question, then gets all worked up when someone disagrees with him and subsequently insists on “being right”. It’s fucked up, annoying, tiring, and certainly doesn’t help the dynamic with Rich and Wallach. It doesn’t come across as playful or entertaining. Between this and stepping in and taking over EVERY interview because he’s got the question that REALLY needs to be asked, my patience has run thin.I don't think it's that serious, I think they're just killing time. Fred certainly has his quirks, but this is all an act.
I like Fred's theory that Rich has an insider tipping him off on the good calls. That one had me in tears. The random clown call that Rich found for Brookline 911 wasn't the funniest thing I've ever heard, but that might've been the most bizarre. I laughed way too much at that.
It’s not a theory. Rich has said he started getting sent these after a few Brookline 911 segments from first responders who are sick of these calls. It’s all public record so they’re not doing anything wrong.I like Fred's theory that Rich has an insider tipping him off on the good calls. That one had me in tears.
Rich seemed like he didn't want to completely confirm it, probably to save the Brookline people some shit from past callers. If they'd call 911 to complain about somebody working on a house that needs work, you can imagine they'd be willing to be make a stink about being publicly made fun of for it. But I 100% believe it.It’s not a theory. Rich has said he started getting sent these after a few Brookline 911 segments from first responders who are sick of these calls. Don’t forget, Star Market lady acknowledged knowing that they were laughing at herRich seemed like he didn't want to completely confirm it, probably to save the Brookline people some shit from past callers. Also "I think the clown is beeping in morse code!"
That entire segment has been fantastic. In a Q&A at the Irsay spectacle at the garden this weekend, Rich asked Jim Irsay, “Are you fired up to rock tonight?” Awesome.
shaaaaaaazoweeeeee! Is exactly what I had stuck in my head.Hey, do you like magic?
It's quite amazing how stupid and inarticulate he is. Him calling the movie Open Hymen instead of Oppenheimer was pretty good. They could've taken off with that and almost did. It was a shame Fred was out today; he would've had a field day.I don’t care how brief, there’s very little content-wise that’s an automatic skip for me than anything that involves Bird. I don’t care what this clown thinks about movies
I heard that clip and just thought to myself “of course that’s how he says it”. He’s a caricature of a dumb BostonianIt's quite amazing how stupid and inarticulate he is. That’s likely a glitch in their ad server. When I listen on Audacy from CT I get a bunch of locally targeted ads. But there’s always a stray weird one or two that slip into the mix from time to time.BTW, I listen to 98.5 on the I Heart Radio stream on my Amazon Echo and always thought the commercials were targeted based on IP address since I constantly get commercials for the local Citizens for Citizens family planning clinic. That theory has now been flushed down the toilet by the commercials for the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Wyoming.
It sounds like a cool place, but how does it make sense to carpet bomb someone in Massachusetts listening to an online stream with commercials for an obscure museum 2000 miles away? I could understand promoting something like the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro, NH (a cool place BTW), but this is just strange.
If Bird wasn't such a moron I'd think he was coached by Rich to say "Open Hymen" on the air to see if they could get away with it.It's quite amazing how stupid and inarticulate he is. There really is nothing to talk about in July. The Red Sox are middling and the Patriots hot stove is anything but hot.If Bird wasn't such a moron I'd think he was coached by Rich to say "Open Hymen" on the air to see if they could get away with it.
It's like to Zo bit years ago talking about how he thought he broke his fart box
Also I really feel had for guys who are paid to talk about sports for 4 hours a day in mid July.....
Yeah it’s pretty clear that’s a Rich segment. At times it seems like he could use an intervention with how much he’s into gambling. Remember how almost panicked he got when Fred suggested they cut the segment down to maybe once a month? The Bankroll Boyz segment was a lot more fun when sports gambling wasn’t legalized. And it was fun to hear T&R learn about the “rangle” and all that silliness. It was a goof.
Now we’re supposed to take those clowns to be serious, knowledgeable gamblers dispensing real advice. They know jack, it’s just dumb.
It was clear that Rich was legitimately pissed a couple weeks ago when Dan didn’t have a single pick to give him.
And honestly, that's how it is even when Murray is on. Lifshatz DOMINATES the segment. And you can tell Fred can't really stand him.Eh, the less bankroll boys the better in my opinion. I’ve been a pretty vocal Murray hater in this thread but i think his schtick works in the nighttime slot. I turned it on this morning around 730 to immediately be yelled at by Lifshatz about either the Jets or the Falcons and it was over to SiriusXM as fast as I could.
Aw crap, I missed Bubbie talk? It's nice to have normal Fred back. Shootin' the Breeze, some solid Saved by the Bell talk, making fun of his mother in law, it's just like the good old days.
How often is he supposed to be on the air? Guy is doing fill in work all over the place from M-F and also hosting shows on both weekend days.calling out that Joe has been covering F&M and not late nights, and could easily have made it in for the AM segment.
Not to mention he kinda sucks. How often is he supposed to be on the air? Guy is doing fill in work all over the place from M-F and also hosting shows on both weekend days.
