NYC focused but others can do their own area.

Week 1 vs. Pittsburgh: Thursday NBC
Week 2 at Buffalo bar day
Week 3 vs. Jacksonville possibly on local TV. Jets/Giants not on
Week 5 at Dallas: CBS national game
Week 6 at Indy: SNF NBC
Week 7 vs. Jets: CBS
Week 8 vs. Miami: Thursday CBS
Week 9 vs. Washington bar day
Week 10 at Giants: CBS national game
Week 11 vs. Buffalo MNF ESPN
Week 12 at Denver SNF NBC
Week 13 vs. Philly: FOX national doubleheader game
Week 14 at Houston: bar day. Jets on at same time
Week 15 vs. Tennessee possibly on due to Jets on Saturday.
Week 16 at Jets: CBS
Week 17 at Miami: bar day. Jets on at same time.

Crazy that in NYC I may get to watch 12 of 16 games in my living room without having to buy the package.

If true, this is huge.

Seriously, thanks for this. As a displaced New Englander now residing in Staten Island, this will make my life, and the raising of my four year old into a proper TB12-and-Gronk devotee, far easier.

I'm in northern Virginia and I'm thinking that 9 of the first 12 may be televised here, but it's possible the final 4 are not. Does anyone know if Directv discounts Sunday Ticket half way through the season like they do with MLB Extra Innings?

oy - wish i realized this before shelling out for Sunday Ticket for 3-4 games.

still worth it for RedZone I guess. Especially the weeks where Pats dont play Sunday afternoon - which is often.

I'm in New Mexico and I think I saw 11 of the games last year with no package. Considering I was zero NFL football that doesn't involve the Pats, that worked out pretty well.

The Patriots games on week 3 against JAX and week 15 against TEN won't be broadcast locally in NYC because in each week, one of the Jets/Giants play on Fox at the same time (week 3 the Jets are @PHI, and week 15 the Giants play CAR).  Even though CBS has the doubleheader in those weeks, they don't show games when a home team is playing on the other network.

I'm in CA. Lucky in that there is a Boston sports bar less than 20 blocks away, unlucky that it means that whenever the Patriots aren't nationally broadcast I'm tipsy by 11AM on a Sunday and the rest of my whole day is shot.

I can only ask everyone understand the plight of a Bay Area Pats fan. Two teams in the market prevent pretty much any chance of the Patriots being broadcast locally and if it just so happens one of the two are playing SNF, TNF, or MNF, well, usually they air the Colts game... 'cause go Stanford. It's really difficult. I don't know how I survive.

I watch non-locally televised games at Sonny McLean's. I don't know about Little Bar or Garage, but would be up for discovering a new place. If you are in the Santa Monica area and want to catch a game together, feel free to PM me to watch at Sonny's.

I knew it. The fact that you were counting blocks in the twenties made me think SM/Sonny's.

I'm in Mid Wilshire, but I go there all the time because it's the only place I know where it feels like you're in a bar downtown Boston.

Little Bar is a dive near Wilshire and La Brea. More of a Sox crowd. I never go there for Pats, and I haven't been there in years since I discovered Sonny's.

I thought The Garage was an Eagles bar, but people at a Labor Day pool party told me that it's Eagles on one side and Pats on the other. I need to check it out sometime. It's in Palms, near Culver City.

I'll keep you in mind for future games.

PS: I've been told there's another Boston joint in Redondo Hermosa Beach somewhere, but I've never found the need to go.

Thanks for compiling that, and love your "barday". I'm sure I'll get an Oakland game bumping one or more of those, so, Redzone.

Sonnys is an awesome place to see a game. (And to get yer picture took w the 2004 World Series trophy.) Do they still raffle off door prizes at halftime? I won a John Hannah jersey at halftime of the OT game in Miami when Troy caught the bomb for a game winning TD.

I run the halftime raffle at The Garage/Motor Club (used to do it at Sonny's).

The guy who used to own Sonny's now runs the Garage/Motor Club. When there are no conflicts between Patriots and Eagles, the game is on exclusively in the Motor Club. The guy that now owns Sonnys is from New Zealand and really doesn't have a interest in Boston sports. Took the heart out of the place.

The Garage/Motor Club is absolutely the best place to watch Pats games in LA.

DM me and I will add you to our Facebook page.

Huh, that's an interesting perspective because Sonny's is still shoulder to shoulder inside with a line around the corner to get in for any big Boston game and most Pats games.

I'll have to check out the Garage some time.

506sports doesn't have the week 2 maps up yet, but I'm sure we won't be getting the NE game this Sunday. I'll likely be at Sonny's but would consider G/MC for a new experience. I'll PM you guys. Anyone else in the west LA area who wants to join this or any other week, feel free to post and/or PM me.

edit: regarding Sonny's, I've heard a lot about how it isn't the same as it used to be before the sale. That said, it is still absolutely packed with NE sports fans for big games, and is a fun place to watch any game. So it's probably true that it's not as good as it once was, but it still is good.

Sonnys was great for the Steelers game, FYI. And I say this as someone who used to watch the games with Jim there before he sold it. It was body-to-body with deafening Brady chants during the game, and we even got Dirty Water and a free round of shots after the win.

Yeah, the free shots, dirty water, sweet Caroline...all staples. So I've probably been drinking in the same room as a lot of you fools several times over the years. Go figure.

Chargers have same-division interest in Chiefs and Broncos markets. Seahawks markets don't want to see team that beat them in the SB.

I can't imagine that in week two, the average fan is more interested in their division than they are in seeing the most interesting game. But what do I know about the average fan.

So, here's where you know you can see the Pats and DC and where you know you can't. Green is definitely on here, red is definitely not:

So that leaves question marks for the 9/27 game against the Jags, 10/11 game against Dallas, 11/15 against the Giants, 12/6 against the Eagles, and 12/27 against the Jets.

9/27: The Ravens host an AFC team at the same time the Patriots do. We'll probably get the Ravens game.
10/11: The Ravens and 'Slurs both play at 1p. No guarantee, but I'd be shocked if we didn't get Pats/Cowboys.
11/15: Ravens play at 1p. We might get the Pats here.
12/6: Ravens are in Miami at 1:00. Proximity of Philly means we probably get the game here.
12/27: Ravens have the Sunday Night game. Maybe we get the Pats.

We'll get somewhere between five and nine Pats games on local TV in DC. If that's good enough for you and you don't get the Ticket for free, that isn't a bad number. But I love knowing that I can watch every single Pats game from my mancave without spending $$$$ at a bar, listening to people talk over the game, etc.

My opinion, so I'm sure others will disagree. Riv is far more laid back, keeps the volume to loud but not deafingly loud, and at least the times I've been, seems full of mostly older fans. Whenever I've been to Thom's, it's invariably full of NYU kids that have just discovered beer, and mostly can't give a shit about the game (minus their bro friends). Plus, they blast the volume and double-blast shitty music at every commercial. It's very unpleasant.

Thanks. I think you're correct. I'd been living about 30 minutes south of Fairfax and hadn't run into this problem, but now that I'm squarely in FF County, it looks like I'm going to have to swallow hard and order the Ticket. I tried the whole ruse of pretending to cancel a few weeks ago and all I got was $5 off a month for a year and Showtime free for four months. The cost may work out to $42/game which is probably the same as a bar tab but I don't have to get drunk in the early afternoon and I get to see additional games at times the Pats aren't playing. Just hate giving money to the NFL right now.

Actually, looking a your chart, if the Patriots are on tv on for the Cowboys and Giants which is a decent chance then 8 of the first 12 will be on tv here. Only the Bills, Jaguars, and Jets games wouldn't be. Eagles game is a wild card as you mention but that could make it 9 of 12.
