Mattingly didn't yank him.

That can happen when a pitcher is left out there to die.

I know. But Kershaw. Up 6-1. Who didn't think this game was completely over? Granted, he has had his struggles in the playoffs but this was a sick turnaround.

I meant yank him before the Carpenter AB. Still, against the lefty, was JP Howell his go to guy?

More runs have been scored in the post season than the Yankees scored all year

I'm still trying to figure out how the huge market KC Royals can afford relief pitchers, but the Dodgers can't.
They lucked into like a bazillion of them

What a shame, the Dodgers are such a likeable bunch too; Crawford, Puig, Gonzalez, just a swell bunch of guys.

Crawford's going to blame this loss on his time in Boston.

Don't get me wrong, Kershaw is great, but I can't help but wonder what his numbers would look like if he pitched in the AL. When Jake Peavy is dominating the NL West, you have to figure it's very, very easy to pitch there.

It's too bad KC/Baltimore can't be the World Series. They're the 2 most exciting teams right now

The postseason is 4 days old, and I already feel better about Farrell.
Bc he seems smart, relatively speaking, or bc this shows you don't need a smart manager to make the playoffs?

It's on Clayton Kershaw.
Yeah, it's not always the manager. It's Clayton Kershaw. He was cruising. He's had one and a half real bad innings all year. Lefties in the line up and he's still throwing strikes. No walk. No hit by pitch. The Cardinals just beat him.
