I already feel bad about Jags +13.

How was that not a flag on the Steelers? The DB never turned around and the WR couldn't get the ball because it hit the DB in the back.

I don't blame Fitz for the throw. I blame BOB for trusting him.

Don't the Bills have to throw a challenge flag on that spot? I mean, they probably lose, but what's the downside?

They would lose that challenge.

And a stop on this set of downs gets them the ball back with some time.

I thought the official gave them half a yard on the spot. And the TO wouldn't have been any great loss -- maybe 15 seconds of clock. And who knows if someone touched the receiver with a fingernail while he was going down for the catch?

If they lost the TO, it would be more like 40 seconds of clock.  I.e., this snap here.

But they would've saved 25 seconds back then, so net loss of 15.

We are less than three minutes in and the 49ers already have a blown challenge, a false start penalty, a sack, and punt blocked for a TD. Shoot me now.

Refs blow an OPI call, so they call a phantom illegal contact penalty on the next play to make up for it. Gotta love today's NFL.

Boldin can just will himself to first downs sometimes. He converted a key 3rd-and-13 against the Pats in that disaster comeback game a couple years ago.

Something wrong with Kaepernick, although maybe a lot of it is the O-line so far this year. Still, when he's had time today twice he's not led his receiver at all.
