Couldn't agree more. I'm a little surprised we didn't see Agholor sent to the Packers. Guess the $$$ was too much. (Or they wanted a receiver who caught the ball.)We'll never know what discussions took place but I'm surprised Dallas didn't add a WR. Lesser extent same with the Packers.
Zach Moss seems like a poor mans Deon Jackson. No idea why he would have any value for IND.Per Jay Glazer: Colts get Zach Moss and a 6th that can go a 5 for Hines
Not to pick at a scab but NKeal Harry was a first rounder. There will certianly be great WRs drafted in round two and later but picking them is hard.yeah a high #2 in a draft loaded with good skill position players, esp WR. Virtual guarantee that there is a better WR available at that pick than what Claypool offers.
And now they're teammates! Not to pick at a scab but NKeal Harry was a first rounder.
I think his $18.7M cap hit next year was a huge problem for teams. Not really surprising.I wonder if the compensation Pitt got for Claypool screwed up other WR deals. It's crazy that Houston didn't get something for Cooks...
I agree. What was the point of that deal for Indy?Zach Moss seems like a poor mans Deon Jackson. No idea why he would have any value for IND.
To get a pick back for Hines, if they didn't want to pay him 4.5M plus next season.I agree. What was the point of that deal for Indy?
Did I miss something? Kareem Hunt is still a Brown last I looked.Wow Hill and Hunt. Killer 1-2 combo Did they play together in KC?
Kickers/Punters on the intial list of eligibles for 2023Probably belongs here as well as the thread in P&G.
HOFer Ray Guy passed away at 72. Tough to imagine we'll see another punter in the HOF, right?
As far as punters go, Lechler wouldn't be a horrible choice.Kickers/Punters on the intial list of eligibles for 2023
PUNTERS/KICKERS (10): Gary Anderson (K), Jason Elam (K), Jeff Feagles (P), Jason Hanson (K), John Kasay, (K), Sean Landeta (P), Shane Lechler (P), Ryan Longwell (K), Pat McAfee (P), Matt Turk (P).
Somebody hit the stud behind the sheetrock instead of the empty void.
Yeah. He made a couple of 4thQ throws yesterday that were both terrible and left him shaking it out.Josh Allen has an injured elbow but Rapaport says it's just something to monitor.

Benjamin Allbright, a reporter based in Denver, has this on Allen.

Here's a scientific journal article from 2010, with an abstract that says, "A total of 10 cases of UCL injuries in quarterbacks were identified starting in 1994. Nine cases were treated nonoperatively and the mean return to play was 26.4 days," and "UCL injuries of the elbow are uncommon injuries in professional quarterbacks. This group of overhead athletes can be successfully treated nonoperatively, in contrast to baseball players, who more commonly need surgical reconstruction to return to competitive play. The difference between the 2 groups of overhead athletes is most likely secondary to biomechanics and demand."Didn't Allen have a UCL injury in 2018? It's not the same as a MLB pitcher injury. My amateur internet sleuthing says this is a multi-week injury, but not season ending?
Depends on the injury. If it's a complete tear he will need surgery and miss a year plusDidn't Allen have a UCL injury in 2018? It's not the same as a MLB pitcher injury. My amateur internet sleuthing says this is a multi-week injury, but not season ending?
Much like a pitcher can throw with one, Allen could too.If it was a tear, could he have thrown that6069 yard bomb that Gardner broke up at the end of the game? I'm not so sure.
Edit: Went back and looked -- he threw it from his 11 yard-line to the Jets's 20!
More like 70: View: https://twitter.com/profootballtalk/status/1589742481352032259?s=46&t=nJd-ovoSz8S0LC9rlT03sgHis last pass on Sunday was a 40 yard throw that the defender made a very nice play on. It was a decent throw. This was 2 throws after the play where he may have been injured. Of course, his first play after he may have been injured, he needed 17 yards and only threw it 10 and immediately grabbed the elbow and was opening his hand.
Okay, I didn't realize that a pitcher could "dial it up" with a torn ACL.Much like a pitcher can throw with one, Allen could too.
Isn't he on the list of "vets that signed with the Patriots but retired"?Don't think that this deserves its own thread, but didn't know where else to put it. A nice, amusing story about Jared Veldheer (who played several season in the NFL) becoming the head cook and menu planner at his kids' school.

And he hit Davis right in the chest. He’s horrifying. If it was a tear, could he have thrown that6069 yard bomb that Gardner broke up at the end of the game? I'm not so sure.

I saw on his wikipedia page that he was a Patriot for a week in May 2019 but retired. Later in 2019, he unretired and played for Green Bay and then Indy before retiring for good.Isn't he on the list of "vets that signed with the Patriots but retired"?
Allen needs to make a championship game first. There won’t be enough Genesee in production to heal Bills fans if he has a torn ligament. It will also likely rob us of another Buff-KC AFCCG with both Allen and Mahomes at the peak of their powers, which would be a shame.
People have memory holed that that wasn’t the AFCCG, I have heard that more than once and neither team made the SB. It’s kind of a weird psychological phenomenon. Pour one out for Burrow and the Bengals.Allen needs to make a championship game first.
He…literally did the season beforeAllen needs to make a championship game first.

Same. Oops. And the Covid season doesn’t really count, anyways.Well, I thought we were talking about last year. The super competitive game. IM SO SORRY
lolololol. If Allen is outI keep refreshing this thread to see if Josh Allen has had his throwing arm amputated below the elbow yet.
Yeslolololol. If Allen is outmultiple weeksfor the rest of time, which team becomes the AFC East favorite?
If Allen did indeed need TJ surgery, BUF seems like an awfully good spot for TB12 to run it back next year.lolololol. If Allen is outmultiple weeksfor the rest of time, which team becomes the AFC East favorite?
