Thank you ----> RT @BMonzoWFAN: To answer everyone, I will post that.. 157 seconds...if I were a Jet, it would be posted in 3 years.
Just shows that no one guy commands a town like Francesa commands NY. I don't care how bad anything might get in Boston, it would not be the same.ifmanis5 said:Cover of the NY Post right now: http://nypost.com/2014/10/27/mike-francesa-owns-john-idzik-and-the-jets-with-epic-rant/
Idzik also mentioned the concept of “Play like a Jet,” which Francesa ridiculed.
“What does that mean?” he asked. “Commit a penalty, or fumble the ball, or drop the ball? Which one is that: Play like a Jet? We know it’s not play well, because we’ve all been here all our lives!”
And that made my year.Dalton Jones said:Epic! Homeric! Porn for Pats fans.
On his Sunday show, He did say he gave them a chance today, but the Patriots still aren't a very good team in his opinion.dcmissle said:There will be a lot of discussion of the Jets and a preview of the Giants. There was one other game he will not care to discuss very much.
He'll say the Broncos made some mistakes on Special Teams that you can't make on the road and that Denver's defense isn't on an elite level. He'll kind of leave it at that with maybe some praise for Brady.RedOctober3829 said:On his Sunday show, He did say he gave them a chance today, but the Patriots still aren't a very good team in his opinion.
Then for the second week in a row, the defense of of one of his two darling teams was eaten alive. Indy + Denver = grumpy Mikeifmanis5 said:He'll say the Broncos made some mistakes on Special Teams that you can't make on the road and that Denver's defense isn't on an elite level. "Tom" Mike's affectation is that he's on a first name basis with Tom.ifmanis5 said:He'll say the Broncos made some mistakes on Special Teams that you can't make on the road and that Denver's defense isn't on an elite level. He'll kind of leave it at that with maybe some praise for Brady.

Totally expected that. He never gushes for Tom, always for Manning. If the teams and results were reversed it would be a different story from Mike today.Buster Olney the Lonely said:"everything bounced right for the Pats and nothing bounced right for the Broncos."
There ya have it.
If the results were reversed, he would not be referencing the passing yards for each QB, as he did today.ifmanis5 said:Totally expected that. He never gushes for Tom, always for Manning. If the teams and results were reversed it would be a different story from Mike today.
Oh I'm not surprised at all. The Playoff game in Denver last year was a statement in Mike's mind. The regular season game in which Denver blew a 24-0 lead in the second half was a fluke because of the way it ended in overtime.ifmanis5 said:Totally expected that. Good Pat win not a bad Bronco loss.
I think we watched different games.
Agreed. Also, if Russo was there today he'd be destroying Mike on that: WHO CARES MIKE! BRADY WON THE GAME! THOSE ARE GARBAGE STATS! EVEN PEYTON SAID SO AFTERWARDS! COME ON MIKE!dcmissle said:If the results were reversed, he would not be referencing the passing yards for each QB, as he did today.
That is the football equivalent of "we spent more days in first place than anybody else."
