I'm surprised some of these guys have no steals at all. I remember Ortiz would get like, a steal a season based on the pitchers and fielders just paying absolutely no attention to him. He stole two bases in his final season, when he could barely walk.

Sandy Alcantara threw a 1-0 CGSHO against the Twins. Game was only 1:57 too.

The Mets postponed their home opener YESTERDAY citing the potential for rain.

It's now not supposed to rain. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that before. Comical, in fact.

One of the big stories this year IMO is going to be about how everyone doubted the Dodgers all winter and how they then went right back to being the same regular season powerhouse as always, second best run differential in MLB through 7 games at +28, behind TB's +31.

The key for them is if Rojas can do a passable job at SS, over a long period of time, imho. They have everything else, even though they’re much weaker offensively than previously.

I think they’re less proven offensively but that just means more ABs for their kids and the random veterans like Trayce Thompson that they magically turn into studs.

James Outman is also looking like a solid addition, as well. Whatever they are doing, it's no surprise other teams (cough Red Sox cough) want to follow their lead.

Edward Cabrera with the rare 2.2 0 2 2 7 4 pitching line, 85 pitches in under 3 innings and done.

Also I didn't see any of that, but Miami had to use so many mound visits during his outing that they are down to one remaining in the 4th inning.

Bryan Reynolds is a double short of the cycle in the 5th inning. He's driven in 6 and hit his 5th home run of the season. Lucas Giolito still looks like a mess, giving up 12 hits in 4 innings of work.

Aroldis Chapman got a save today. I'd completely forgotten which team he'd signed with this year

We've got a weird one. Rougned Odor did not touch home plate on a close play that resulted in a collision. The ball got away. Ha-Seong Kim came around and scored after him. But Odor had never touched the plate. So an out is ruled for Kim having passed Odor on the bases.
Bob Melvin didnt even argue when the umpire told him what happened it was that obvious

Oof, yikes.

The AL East is currently 23-10 against other opponents, TOR is down to LAA early.

I feel like the Rays start isn’t getting the national publicity it deserves. It has to be one of the most amazing streaks ever. +52 through 9 games? All wins by 4+ runs? That’s probably never happened in baseball history.

Edit: I just learned the 1939 Yankees were the last team to win 9 straight by 4+. That was… a long time ago.
