I’ve read that that if you were given the code by a T-Mobile user, make sure whenever you’re using mlb.tv be on wifi. If you open up mlbtv app with a cellular provider that’s not Tmobile the subscription gets cancelled.

Anyone known if that is true or not?
I just activated mine on AT&T, no wifi.

The T-Mobile customer can generate a code, they sent it, you log in directly with your MLB.tv credentials. No need to exchange any info - for the Amazon GC I buy it for myself and PM my contact the claim code. Nothing outside PMs for us and we both are set again this year. Easy peasy.

Is there quick way of getting this without being a T-Mobile customer? Is sd pm tag the only way?

I have an extra code to share, but have typically asked for $25 to Jimmy Fund for it. Not out to make money. PM if interested.

I am a T-Mobile subscriber and set this up for my iPhone, but can’t figure out how to connect it to the MLB.tv app on my Roku for my TV. I’m pretty sure I did this last year but don’t remember how.

If anyone can help, please PM me and I will owe you one, thanks!

If you hit the TMobile link and signed in via your mlb.tv login (not thr TMobile login), once it logs in you should be set to log in with those credentials on any other device.

Glad it worked! It can be confusing on the TMobile side - the guy I trade with every year thankfully knkws the deal and we just exchange the link for my giving him the gift card code via DM.

I applied the T-mobile promo on my iPad, but then had to logout and log back in on other devices for it to pick up the subscription.

Looking for some help. Reactivating Fubo is going to cost me almost $100/month for the season. Streaming NESN appears to be $30. My son has been able to sign into our Fubo account in Oregon (we're in Connecticut), so long as we're not both using it at the same time. Does anybody know if he will be able to sign into NESN streaming if I go that route?

Thanks. And go UCONN!

So, apparently if you are watching multiple games on MLB.tv, and you go to a different tab in your browser, the non-active games pause. Does anyone know of a way to make this not happen?

Their marketing is pissing me off. I get an email that price dropped, but it dropped only from $150 to $140, while 1/6 of the season is over and still has the blackouts. (Yeah I know about the tmobile),

The whole "your favorite team out of market games" phrase is so out of touch. Most people's (not counting retirees/snowbirds I guess) favorite team is IN market.

The blackout thing will take a long time to do away. There must be a ton of deals with the RSNs and national networks behind all of this.

This is a new one for me. I’m a recent YouTube TV subscriber and, for whatever reason, the game is not available in my area on TBS through YouTube or mlb.tv for me. I thought TBS was a Braves affiliate, but I guess we don’t get whatever channel the game is on. This is why I have zero issue pirating baseball games.

I've done the Mother's Day 1/2 price discount promotion in the past. It was both real and spectacular!

The Sox free nut-punch weekend performances aren't making the wait until Father's Day seem all that terrible.

Thanks, Rob Manfred!

I think they do that on Father’s Day

They did do it on Father's Day as well. Mother's Day discount was roughly 50%. Then discounted even further on Father's Day. But it looks like what they did this weekend was provide free streaming of all out-of-market games through Sunday.

Hopefully they do the Father's Day deal.

(I regret falling asleep on the T-mobile thing.)

My Fire stick app hasn't worked in over a week. When I try to talk to customer support, I'm told no agents are available and to try again later. Great product, MLB!

The new season of MLB.TV is out, I know many of you get the T Mobile deal but I found another one which saved me 50%. If you sign up for MLBPAA membership for $25 they will send you a code to get MLB.TV. Now that I signed up the MLBPAA seems like a good cause and it still saved me 50 bucks.

I signed up yesterday and got the code today so I'm set for the year for under 100 bucks... I'm actually getting excited again which I promised myself I wouldn't fall for that again but hey 10 year old Dave could have only dreamed of seeing every sox game

I'll add for anyone in San Diego that if you get even one Padres season ticket they include MLB.tv in the package. 2 years ago I got one in TT section for 20 games at like $650.....saved me $150 on MLB.tv so it was well worth it.

Thanks for this. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to take advantage of this, but I have a few questions. It looks like the Sox are blacked out for me which isn't an issue as I have NESN. Can anyone fill me in on A) The length of the subscription B) Do subscribers have the ability to watch on multiple TVs like you do with other subscription services such as Netfix, D+, etc... ? I'm assuming so. C) Concerning the extra available content. I'm no longer getting the MLB Network. It seems that much/most of the extra content on MLB.TV is stuff that is a part of what was on the MLB Network?

The T-Mobile thing isn't active for 2024 yet, right? It usually happens towards the end of spring training? I tried to research this some this week and couldn't find a clear answer, thanks for any help.

Yeah, it's usually 2nd half of March sometime.

Looking back at the last page, looks like it went live March 28th last year.

Hm I forgot about the blackout. I'll have to do VPN again which worked out alright but still kind of a pain.

Length of the subscription is a calendar year. Not sure about the multiple tvs. And yeah, there is a ton of mlb network content on there.

Thanks for the reply, I'm happy to know that the script runs for a calendar year. I hope that means there is already content ready for viewing as I do miss having the MLB Network leading into the season. I signed up for the MLBPAA membership this afternoon so I should get my 50% discount email notification in the next day or two.

Thanks, we'll likely just be watching on our main TV in the living room and on the bedroom TV as fall asleep, background noise.
It's always fun when the wife is out and I have two games on both TV's, four on the laptop (the browser app is the best) and one on the phone.

I saw this on the MLBPAA website under member benefits:
  • MLB.TV 50 percent discount (applies to 2024 season for renewing members)
Does anyone know if this means I have to have an active 2023 MLB.TV membership to get the 50% off?

I currently have my subscription set to cancel (not auto renew) at the end of February (the end of the 2023 MLB.TV subscription year) as I usually just wait until Mother's Day or Father's Day to purchase the rest of the season at a fairly well discounted rate.

Thanks.

I was concerned about that as well. Here's my confirmation that does indeed reference the 50% discount.

Thanks for info!
I'll still have to give it some thought as I often don't have a lot of time to watch early in the season. In the past, I would jump on the the Father's Day special for decent discount, but having access for the whole season would be a "nice to have".

I may also be able to get a T-Mobile plan through a family member this year so I may wait to see what happens there.

@YTF, are you a new member to MLBPAA and, if so, have you received your MBLTV discount yet? I started to sign up as a new member today and received the following message: "IMPORTANT NOTE: MLB.TV 50% discount applies to 2024 season for renewing MLBPAA members only (not applicable to new fan memberships). Renewing members will receive information to redeem one unique code provided during the calendar year upon renewal. Available while supplies last."

I haven't gotten my code yet. Perhaps @CallYaz might be able to chime in here as it seems that he is a new MLBPAA member.

I got access to a free MLB TV suscription last year so did not renew the MLBPAA membership. Will check if getting this year counts as renewing.

I got my code about two days after making my 25 dollar payment. Might want to check spam, it came in a welcome email from the MLBPAA

EDIT: Actually it came the next day, signed up on the 13th and got code on the 14th. Maybe they changed their requirements because I was never an MLBPAA member before the 13th

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. MLBPAA looks like a good organization, and I'll join as a $25 first-time member. I'll post an update if I receive an MLBTV discount code.

EDIT: I just joined and received the following (does not look promising):

You can typically find T-Mobile codes on SlickDeals for $5 at the beginning of the season.
I did this for the first time last year and it was fairly easy and painless. Plenty of people will be offering their codes and all you have to do is DM them and arrange to send them a $5 Amazon GC. The only catch is that a new account has limited DMs, so I would create one now so you'll be ready when T-Mobile starts the promotion.
