I heart you.91 wins and a WC.
I love what the team has done this offseason, putting together a fun, exciting core, without sacrificing the longer term development plan. I think the lineup with be somewhat of a throwback, grinding out more at bats, and scoring plenty. The bullpen should be night and day versus last year, solid and deep. The rotation is the biggest question mark, but I believe in Sale, Kluber, Bello, Whitlock and whoever.
Cora is going to have to do some managing with a bunch of moving parts, so hopefully he's up to the task. But I can't wait for the season so start.
Really? That really puts us at or near the basement. I don't think we're going to win but I don't think we will be that bad either. Of course much of this hinges on Sale and the other starters.Vegas sets the line at 78.5 wins and I’m taking the under. There is no reason to have any faith in the starting rotation heading this year.
77 wins is where I’m at.
Really....Vegas also had the o/u on the Patriots last season at 8.5. They won 8.Really? That really puts us at or near the basement. I don't think we're going to win but I don't think we will be that bad either. Of course much of this hinges on Sale and the other starters.
I think the Sox have a better track record of surprising the odds makers than the Pats do. Let's hope it happens again.Really....Vegas also had the o/u on the Patriots last season at 8.5. They won 8.
For them to do better than 78.5 wins in this division pretty much everything would have to go right. Sometimes like in 2013 that happens. Odds are overwhelmingly that it won't.
Your odds of claiming a no-prize will improve significantly if you answer one or more of the tie-breaker questions. Should someone else pick the Vegas line and answer even one tie-breaker correctly, they will prevail if you have zero correct answers.Vegas sets the line at 78.5 wins and I’m taking the under. There is no reason to have any faith in the starting rotation heading this year.

Thanks for the reminder, I'd have been pissed off for missing a shot at the non prize being offered. I'm in at 87 winsThis is your friendly Sunday Reminder that the season starts on Thurs. March 30 at 2PM. To qualify for the no prize you must pick the exact number of wins, and answer as many tiebreaker questions as you see fit. You may change your entry and your questions up till the first pitch. Any editing to your post afterward will disqualify you.

Our previous winners were @Apisith in 2021, and @Hank Scorpio in 2022.Thanks for the reminder, I'd have been pissed off for missing a shot at the non prize being offered. I'm in at 87 wins
So given the size of the new bases, it may well come down to SBs.Our previous winners were @Apisith in 2021, and @Hank Scorpio in 2022.
If you wish to join their illustrious company as a True Predictor, it's a good idea to check out the other "87" entries this year and see if there's some tie-breaker distinction you'd like to make. Last year it came down to a single tie-breaker question's difference between @Hank Scorpio and @Curtis Pride. It is a game of inches.
Huh, if "5" is average, I read the defense thusly:78 wins. Average or below defense at every position and shaky starters.
Hope I'm way off.
Looks like Vegas had the Sox winning 85.5 games last year, but they only won 78, so Vegas was off by 7.5 games.Really....Vegas also had the o/u on the Patriots last season at 8.5. They won 8.

You have to admire a man who is willing just to grab a tie-breaker question by the lapels like this.Stupidest Facial Hair at All-Star Break? My own.
Just as a FYI, in prior years I disqualified any answer that attempts to be two answers. It's the nature of the tiebreaker - the best answer will prevail if there's any muddiness.I can be one of those "too cute by half" people, and you'll see a couple replies(*) by me that reflect this.
Nope. You have to pick a specific number.Put me in the "low 80s win total but good vibes" crowd as the future starts to take shape. I think we might even see an out-of-nowhere deadline trade for either an MI or a CF that we'll all find acceptable. (Or maybe I'm just trying to manifest that last part by speaking it aloud.)
83, but you can keep your no-prize if I end up being right.Nope. You have to pick a specific number.
