I love what the team has done this offseason, putting together a fun, exciting core, without sacrificing the longer term development plan. I think the lineup with be somewhat of a throwback, grinding out more at bats, and scoring plenty. The bullpen should be night and day versus last year, solid and deep. The rotation is the biggest question mark, but I believe in Sale, Kluber, Bello, Whitlock and whoever.

Cora is going to have to do some managing with a bunch of moving parts, so hopefully he's up to the task. But I can't wait for the season so start.

Really....Vegas also had the o/u on the Patriots last season at 8.5. They won 8.

For them to do better than 78.5 wins in this division pretty much everything would have to go right. Sometimes like in 2013 that happens. Odds are overwhelmingly that it won't.

Looks like Vegas had the Sox winning 85.5 games last year, but they only won 78, so Vegas was off by 7.5 games.
A few other over/unders from last year and the actual number of games won:
Orioles: 62.5, actual 83: off by 20.5
White Sox: 91.5, actual 81, off by 10.5
Astros: 92.5, actual 106, off by 13.5
Angels: 83.5, actual 73, off by 10.5
Yankees: 92.5, actual 99, off by 6.5
Braves: 91.5, actual 101, off by 9.5
Mets: 88.5, actual 101, off by 12.5
Tigers: 78.5, actual 66, off by 12.5

They were pretty close on some, too. But I don't think it would be much of a surprise if Vegas was off by 10 games or so in their over/under. In either direction.

I think this year's team should be better than last year's team, which Vegas had at 85.5 wins.
I looked at some of the projections on Fangraphs and eyeballed/guessed that they would have a Pythag of around 92 wins-- I will adjust that down by 4 games for my personal bias, and go with 88 wins.
