Jansen and/or MartinSo yah. The dodgers are going to be desperate for bullpen help at the deadline. Wonder if the sox could name their price in a hypothetical Jansen trade.
If Martin keeps pitching like this, he'll be in very high demand by multiple teams. I like him a lot, but trading him for a haul is definitely part of the plan.Jansen and/or Martin
True, but they need more than one arm out there, based on the results thus far. And the Dodgers won't be alone in the market for relieversThe Dodgers should be getting their actual closer back in the next couple weeks in Daniel Hudson.
And maybe he'll do the trick. But he's 36 years old and has 32 career saves. He's not exactly prime Mariano coming back. Or even prime Kenley. The Dodgers should be getting their actual closer back in the next couple weeks in Daniel Hudson.
What happened to Trout?
Apparently this was the biggest home shutout loss for the dodgers since 1898 when the Brooklyn Bridegrooms were blanked 15-0 by the Pittsburgh Pirates! The Dodgers 18-0 loss in ‘65 was in Cincinnati.

I would take their second baseman, if the dodgers would retain 1/2 his salary. And send his bowling balls with himSo yah. The dodgers are going to be desperate for bullpen help at the deadline. Wonder if the sox could name their price in a hypothetical Jansen trade.
Vargas? He makes the minimum I think. Or do you mean their shortstop?I would take their second baseman, if the dodgers would retain 1/2 his salary. And send his bowling balls with him
How did that season end for them?
Depends on the day. To be certain who I meant I added the bowling ball info.Vargas? He makes the minimum I think. Or do you mean their shortstop?
Yeah, Bryce Miller had a great game on the other side. And lost.
In other streak news, the Reds won their 10th straight, to remain half a game up on Milwaukee. The Giants came from behind to walk off the Padres for a 2nd night in a row, this time with a bases loaded walk from Hader to Joc Pederson. They have now won 9 straight.
Yep and while the NL is all going streaking, in the East it's the Braves who are on W7. Some fun stories in the NL right now.In other streak news, the Reds won their 10th straight, to remain half a game up on Milwaukee.
Miami hanging tough out there is awesome, even with a tough 2-0 loss to the Blue Jays tonight.Yep and while the NL is all going streaking, in the East it's the Braves who are on W7. Some fun stories in the NL right now.
Pederson also hit a HR in the 8th to tie it .The Giants came from behind to walk off the Padres for a 2nd night in a row, this time with a bases loaded walk from Hader to Joc Pederson. They have now won 9 straight.
I'm still not 100% over 1975, but's a great baseball town so good for them.11 in a row for Cincinnati.

Yaz actually has the most walk-off splash hits in Giants' history with 2. There have only been 4 total. The other two are from Crawford and Bonds. The Padres blew a 4-0 lead in SF. The Giants scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th to tie it up 4-4 and send it to extras. Doval came in and held San Diego in the top of the 10th, then in the bottom half after an IBB and a sac bunt the situation was: tie game, men on 2nd & 3rd, 1 down, first base open, Mike Yaz who homered earlier in the game up, and on deck rookie Luis Matos who came up a week ago and was 0-4 on the day...so obviously they decided to pitch to Yaz, who proceeded to hit a three run bomb into McCovey Cove. Giants win 7-4.
Questionable decision making by the Padres, but a great finish for the home crowd.
Yeah, I was watching that on NBC Sports Bay Area - definitely looked like a good call. Too bad Yaz got hurt running to 3rd a few batters later. This was another overturned call just now on blocking the plate. I think this one is correct, though.
